Where were her parents? She was on the phone with them. You tell your daughter, this person seems dangerous. I’m coming to get you.

Don’t you dare ask where her parents were. They did not know about the police video until after she was missing. They only knew what their adult daughter told them. The second something felt off and they didn’t hear from her they began calling Brian, his parents and then the police. They did everything right here, so don’t for a second criticize grieving parents.

People are scared to believe that something like this could happen to their child, so they convince themselves that, if they were the parents, they would have been able to stop it. It’s human nature, I guess. It’s still so cruel to her parents.

The FBI agent looks really shaken. So sad.

I thought he just looked really nervous.

He was shaken. I’m married to an FBI agent. And I train law enforcement every day. 🙁

Who knows how much sleep he has gotten, also.

He just got off the call with the parents. I’m don't want to imagine their reaction at all.

My guess is he's either killed himself or is hiding out somewhere domestically. Fleeing to another country with no trace isn't as easy as it looks on TV. And Cuba would be the dumbest possible place. With their state surveillance apparatus it would be impossible to float up on their beaches and slip around unnoticed for long, and even though there's no extradition treaty they have been more cooperative in recent years and Brian Laundrie is exactly the type of criminal they'd happily hand over and wash their hands of. He can ask the likes of Leonard Auerbach, Joshua Hakken, and James Ray III how happy the Cubans have been in the last 10 years to be perceived as a haven for American domestic abusers, kidnappers, and pedophiles.

I think he's going to be found dead, though.

Sleep isn't it.
These guys see horrors every day, but when it's what amounts to be someone that's basically still a child (and possibly close to their own childrens age) it hits home even harder.
All the training in the world can't prevent you from putting yourself in her parent's position.

He was probably also holding out hope that she may still be alive... this discovery dashed all of that hope.

Can her parents Sue his parents for withholding information about their daughter?

Wouldn’t they have to show monetary damages?

Uhhh, what? 🧐
Have you ever heard of inflicting pain and suffering?

Monetary damages?? This isn't Judge Judy...

Is Laundrie pronounced like laundry?

I keep thinking they should hang the Laundrie out to dry.

And take them to the Laundriers.

Very dirty Laundrie.

DP, I theoretically agree with this. But I have watched many news conferences over the years—Morgan Harrington, the Lyons sisters, Hannah Graham, for example, and have never seen a law officer sniffling, etc, the way he was. These are all horrific crimes, yet the Lyons sister’s situation was just plain evil and sickening. Found his demeanor odd.

He might have been more shaken than usual because he saw the body cam and knew LE missed an opportunity.

People should also consider that her parents knew her boyfriend since he was a kid! And his family, too. So I'm sure they trusted him. That's why they didn't do anything if she had called them on the phone.

Right. I’m sure that’s it.

It's more likely there are details about the body that haven't been shared yet.

What is your angle/issue?

A news piece I read said Laundrie family attorney said Brian and his parents were praying for the girls family, maybe that they were heartbroken. . basically, it implied Brian alive and communicating with his lawyer.
