The orange team was what the tryout was for. Agree that it should've been spread out amongst a few days instead of just one. My older daughter played for Capital but it was nowhere this crazy or competitive as it is now. I think the 26 year may be the strongest in terms of how many talented girls there are in the DMV. 2024s, 2025s and 2027s are just different. Pockets of strong teams, but this year is LOADED. Haven't seen this much talent in awhile and and it is difficult for these girls to realize that if they don't make it, it doesn't mean they aren't a strong player. The DMV is too big to have one strong team. I blame the catiness of the middle school programs and the low skill development. All about the $$$$ Low turnover in Baltimore bc they stick together and are managed properly. It's a shame we can't have 2-3 ultra competitive teams in our area. Too much crazy and selfishness for that. Welcome to DC
Agreed 2026 is packed with talent. Heard a few girls that had left for Baltimore were back for Capital tryouts. Interesting to see if they will make the switch. I agree that this tryout was for the Orange team. The Orange team should be a great team considering the amount of talent at tryouts. The question will be will the girls who make Orange stay or go to Pride for that A team?
