Like what Lacrosse, Crew, Hockey, Cycling, Swimming, Golf, Wrestling, Skiing, Skydiving, Weightlifting, etc. Idk, maybe somebody wants to keep them white. Wanna see more Asians in there? File a lawsuit you like you did against TJ.

Exactly! There are more Asians in those sports that you mentioned than African Americans.

I would like to see a marshall type plan that from day 1 of school makes the child and parent realize that education of the child is the most important component of raising the child.

Not true. When we talk about IQ, we're usually only considering people living in the US. IQs for Asians (including Indians) are quite low in their home countries among the lower class (lower castes). Don't confuse the achievements of those Asians who have the means and "generational IQs" to migrate to the US with all of them. The slums and squalor and rates of illiteracy that you see in some Asian countries (including India) is troubling. However, we conveniently omit them when talking about Asians as a whole.

Same goes for Black students. Some of the smartest, most achieving students I met in grad school were from Nigeria and Ghana. Completely on par with the Asian students. How come nobody includes them when talking about Black intelligence?

The lawsuit against TJ was to take race out of the consideration. Treat everyone equally and let merit decide admissions. Asians aren't advocating for racial quotas in sports, just pointing out that people only care about race when Asians are too successful if decisions are done objectively and in a race blind manner.

If you are saying something is not true, cite a source. Otherwise it is just across as your cognitive dissonance trying to make up data to fit your unsupported opinion. I think we all believe you made up everything you said above.

This study says the exact opposite of PP said: https://www.ikonlondonmagazine.com/world-iq-studies-conclude-race-differences-are-largely-genetic/#:~:text=The%20Worldwide%20Pattern%20of%20IQ%20Scores.%20East%20Asians,in%20the%20U.S.%20and%2070%20in%20sub-Saharan%20Africa.

NP. This is what it boils down to. I have not read the whole thread, but for everyone furious that black students are not well represented, please also be furious that elementary curriculums are NOT teaching black students, or any student, well enough to take advance courses. Any students who takes advanced courses must have tutors, classes, academic camps on the side. Or, happen to have parents who have the time, money to help advance their child’s knowledge base.

When young children don’t have enough knowledge they are at complete disadvantage their entire lives . I’m furious schools embrace soft “progressive” curriculums instead of knowledge rich curriculums that build a strong foundation in vocabulary, history, literature, sciences. It hurts all kids but especially Black children.

Chasing admissions at TJ is missing the problem.

Math Olympiad club at school with in person coaching in small groups. Mostly Indians, some Chinese and white kids, 0 or 1 blacks.
This is with open admission costing less than $50 for the year thru PTA.

0 or 1 black kids ? No black kids studying in the school??

In the club.

Except it doesn't really. People in some areas will continue to buy an advantage. This is why the new admission criteria are better. It reduces the impact of prep in favor of natural aptitude.

The new system also takes race out of TJ admissions.

Sorry, but no child who really belongs at TJ needs all that extra help. My child did none of those things, his after school hours were filled with sports. Yet, he was accepted to TJ and had a great four years there.

It’s the parents who believe that their children need all kinds of extra help to be accepted to TJ who are part of making it difficult for the admissions office to select the applicants for whom TJ truly is a good fit.

The Asians don’t want to take race out. They want more Asians and of course the want White students there with them, but just whites and Asians.

How do you figure that? Especially when the current (or the previous) system did not factor in race in the admissions process? The new system is so opaque that no one know what it does and does not look at..

That only applies to some Asians. IQ of Indians is quite low. Future generations in America might settle the nurture vs nature debate,

You must be the poster who posts often extolling the virtues of Jewish and Chinese intelligence . The IQ tests are generally flawed and the results are highly correlated with level of education. I bet the IQ of Black kids will be about the same as everyone else if you adjust for level of education and family wealth/status.

Assuming your theory that "some Asians" are more intelligent than Indians is true and the same "cream of the crop" left their respective countries to come to the US, how come Indians are wiping the floor with pretty much all other Asians in almost all disciplines? Evidence: Google average family income by ethnicity.

On the other hand, if your statement that "IQ of Indians is quite low" is true and yet a good number of them are very successful in the US, why can't Blacks achieve the same results? It's all about the education and mindset..

Watch Gattaca. The one that really "belongs" is the one that can adapt, survive and excel. Nothing else matters.

Income is not the same as intelligence. Indian immigrants are not representative of all Indians.

race has always been a factor, whether admittedly or not.
