DC Mayor: Tell me if you are supporting Robert White and why

Just curious, who is his base?

8 years is enough. She doesn't have a vision for the next 4 years.

He seems genuine. I might be wrong but Bowser is a complete sham.

This. I don't agree with him on everything (he's probably too soft on crime, for instance) but I don't think he's going to end up corrupted or in the pocket of the developers, which is really saying something around here.

What’s the alternative to helping developers? More projects? Let the city slide back into the good old days of the 80’s and 90’s with tons of crime and subsidized public housing? You do know the city only flourished because of all the construction and people like pro developer fenty?

Bowser isn't great but will easily win, simply because Robert White isn't a strong candidate and Trayon White will take votes from him even though he's a confirmed, unrepentant anti-semite bigot.

It's the golden age of thoroughly uninspiring DC city politicians.

He is the opposite of genuine. He just seems like a sheister with no plans but lots of pandering language.

I can't and won't get over the fact that he didn't want the schools to open in person. Between that and his soft on crime approach makes him a hard pass for me. I am no Bowser fan and was hoping for another candidate I could support but I'll be voting for her.

Eight years of dealing with the Bowser administration is enough for me. Everything is quid-pro-quo with them, you didn't help me so I'm not helping you. It's like Trumpism on a smaller scale.

Same here. Robert White's policy proposals are just a bunch of buzzwords. He is trying to win over the activists who want to defund MPD, and the people who want teachers unions to completely run the schools. No thanks.

You don't have to worry, barring some sort of race-altering news, Bowser is going to win and it's not going to be particularly close.

Some WTU leadership doesn't even like him:

Despite that, WTU endorsed him: https://www.wtuteacher.net/cope

I'm no Bowser fan, but I will not vote for someone who wants less police and more unproven violence interrupters. He seems to be pandering to the abolish MPD crowd which is scary.

Bowser is the "moderate" / pro-police candidate in this race. Do with that what you will.

This "WTU Leader" is completely unhinged. I've read her tweets over the years, and I wonder how she gets any teaching done.
