snark away - in the absence of cogent arguments, this and name calling is all you have left.

Not at all - in fact you've proved my point. Asians recognize that we have people among us who are racist, and call it out loudly and over and over again. We, especially the younger generation, recognize it and look to root it out, which is why you see so many of us raising our voices against it. We are outraged by it, we write about it and talk about it and work on effecting actual change. But where is your outrage when there is racism against Asians?

You won't find it. It's all smoke and mirrors about 'equality for all'. It's equality for the chosen ones.

Supporting Asians fighting discrimination....... crickets.

What exactly do you want people to support? I've never seen an Asian-led protest movement outside schools or PTA conferences or just before education decisions are released.

You want support? Get out there and tell us where to show up.

This one thread is 64 pages of shaming Asians for speaking up about the discrimination they face.

It's been post after post telling Asians they are wrong, selfish, culturally inferior, unsocialized, cheaters, racist, justification of stereotypes and bias, get in the back of the line, that we don't support black people, etc.etc....

You think the only way to show support is if Asians start mass protesting on the streets? Are you that small-minded?

We see you. The REAL you.

Chime in and let us know what you think! What's great about this country is that you can't silence people - no matter what ethnicity they are.

Oh I think it's great. (Nice projection there about silencing!) It's been a real eye-opening experience for many Asians to learn how the 'woke' crowd feel about them. How even though they stood in solidarity as allies, the same will never be reciprocated.

It's great to see the way White people viewed Asians way back in the 1800s and early 1900s has not changed or evolved. Just as racist as ever!

Keep it up

snort.. I don't think so. If the two choices are 1. kid is magnet or 2. Trump as potus... I'll pick #1 every time. My DC hates Trump, as do I. DC would be fine not going to magnet. But the country will not be fine with Trump in the WH. That's a scarier future for my kid than not being in a magnet.

Every year near election time the local Republicans who can’t win elections in NoVa try to come up with a school-related wedge issue they hope will help them - “they are too pro LBGTQ”; “they will change all the school boundaries”; “they are anti-Asian.” It happens like clock work. Only the gullible or the mean-spirited fall for it.

It need not be either or.

You can not want Trump and want a fair, race blind admissions test.

There is no need to tolerate direct, race based attack on Asians. I
Such attacks devalue Fairfax, VA, US.

It is profoundly racist to suggest that tests and a process that largely exclude all but Asian kids from a magnet school are somehow neutral or race-blind.

If this is the hill that area Asians and their stooges like Dick Saslaw want to die on, prepare for a long battle.

In response, sure you can. There are lots of reasons to want Trump, for example not getting us into new wars and bringing troops home, that aren't in conflict with wanting race blind admissions, which is something that Trumps policy positions appear to be in agreement with.

Most people don't 100% agree with any politican or party's views. Trump is polarizing for sure though.

Look at who applies for TJ, that accounts for a sizable amount of the disparity because the pool of applicants is mostly white and asian to begin with. Anything you have to affirmatively opt in for will skew the process.

How are non-Asian kids excluded in the admissions process?
Are applicants held to different standards according to race?
