People didn't adhere before covid and now it's just out of hand. |
We have done that before and people just don't know/don't care and post without doing that. |
It was a relief. And the same thing has been happening with FCPS posts overwhelming the forum. |
Yes. Back then, even a question about APS GT would end up devolving into an AAP thread. It helped cut through the noise. |
| A few months back the Va schools board was all APS redistricting. It goes in cycles. I sort of keep an eye on all NOVA schools even though we are FCPS. |
| I think it’s a great idea |
Yes. I think this makes sense. And, also, selfishly, if I"m looking for FCPS posts I don't like wading through APS, PW, Loudon posts, either. |
Any way we can allow the OP or a moderator to fix that omission after-the-fact? |
I doubt Jeff is going to want to spend time adding it after the fact. |
Yes, maybe include a request to put school systems in the subject line, like the request for geographic designation in the real estate forum. |
It’s not like people follow that rule in the Real Estate forum. |
| I am bumping this thread for additional feedback. There has been another request to split FCPS into its own forum. |
| I just looked at the 10 threads at the top of the forum (apart from this thread) and only 2 are FCPS-specific. I'd rather keep the current VA Public Schools/AAP split than add a new forum specific to FCPS. Do you then fold the AAP forum entirely into the new FCPS forum? |
| I vote yes for splitting off. no reason you can't look at the other forum if you are interested in APS, LCPS, etc |
| I’m in LCPS and feel like no one will read the forum that does not include FCPS. There will be crickets for responses. |
