That's because you still believe that exercising is the way to lose weight. It's not.
When you eat in moderation, exercise is just for fun and to keep your body moving.

Exercise is 100% the way to lose weight. Unless you are human and eating calories for an elephant!
To answer the question. Yes, I exercise. Prior to SIP, I went to gym 5 times per week, did over an hour of cardio. That's it. Now I walk over 18K steps daily. My fitbit says that is 7.5 miles. Let's say it is a bit off, still good amount of walking and burning calories. Cardio is the way to lose weight. Exercise is also great for your health and sleep, and positive attitude. People that propagate this exercise does not matter to weight loss are usually severely overweight.

You sound obsessive, what is your BMI?
People who think they'll burn their calories in a gym are usually overweight.

I am around 116lbs-120lbs. 5'4". I am not overweight. I don't ocd about what I eat. I don't binge eat. I write and read all day long, and these walks are my way of moving and I like the peace of walking on trails, side walks, etc.. I like seeing the same guy on his porch, seeing kids riding bikes, seeing girls playing with swords. I saw a tiny fawn the other day, looked a few hours old. I just like it, there is no hidden agenda to it. Regardless, cardio is the way to lose weight, I stand by that. Clearly diet too. I am confused by your accusation that I am obsessive. At my gym I see the same people over and over, many do much more than I do. Why is walking obsessive?

Breakfast: one egg, one English muffin, 2 cups of coffee, piece of fruit (generally an apple but in the summer I prefer peaches and nectarines)

Lunch: Big salad with lots of veggies, light dressing, a few croutons (no bacon or cheese).

Snack: Bowl of fruit salad (pineapple, raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, and blueberries)

Tonight we're having shrimp scampi and a side of steamed broccoli. I'll eat the shrimp and broccoli without the pasta.

Sometimes if I'm still hungry and everyone else is having dessert I'll have a yogurt so my kids don't see me not partaking. I think that sends the wrong message, especially to girls.

If I say “omg that’s so few calories!!” and you get defensive and say it’s fine then 3 people agree with me and 4 people agree with you can we end this thread early or not

So the answer was "not"

I’m a PP and yes I work out 5 days per week. I don’t calorie count but if I had to guess I’d guess I eat about 1500 daily

5'5, 118 pounds, BMI 19

Usually I have two cups of coffee with half and half for breakfast with some yogurt. I was out of yogurt today so I had two bananas (one before and one after my workout).

Lunch was dill salmon, fingerling potatoes and asparagus.

Snack was a small serving of a cold wild rice/vinaigrette salad and two Reese's

Dinner is shrimp over pasta with salad.

I don't usually eat seafood twice in a day but today is weird I guess.

Breakfast: coffee with 1 T cream

Lunch: smoothie made with kale, coconut/almond milk, frozen fruits, banana, 2 T hemp seeds. Either leftovers, almonds, or whatever else I have. Today I had a slice of homemade focaccia with olives, almonds, and rosemary.

Dinner: Burmese Coconut-Chicken Noodle soup. Yesterday I had Costco rotisserie chicken with asparagus and rice.

Dessert: sometimes ice cream, cookie, or brownie. Usually a matcha latte.

This is super sad.

It's sad that pp doesn't recognize that this is a healthy diet. For a small frame person (even at that height), it's more than enough calories. The reason that first pp can eat this way is because the foods are high in protein and healthy fats. The quality of the food matter more than the quantity of the food.

113 lbs at around 5'-7" is clinically underweight.

BMI is just a guiding tool. It is not an accurate tool for many people.

I am 5'8". At 130 pounds, my BMI is in a healthy weight range. It is 19.8.

However, I looked extremely thin at 132 pounds. My ribs were protruding out.

BMI is way off for me.

It could be slightly off for PP. (she is very close to BMI's standard). She might have a very small frame and less than average muscle tone.

I'm also 5'8 and 130. The most I've weighed (non-pregnancy) was 140, and I was called big, thick, fat, you name it. I look best at 125. Very small framed.

Yesterday I had a soy milk latte for breakfast, a Chop't palm beach salad for lunch, and 2 slices of pizza for dinner. Somewhere in there I had 2 glasses of wine and a handful of peanuts.

who called you fat at 140lbs? Hopefully you didn't let them get away with that.

Ugh, many people. I often heard "thick" or "big", but fat was up there too. That was in my late 20s, and could explain why at age 50 I am unfortunately a bit obsessed with my weight. In my early 20s I was closer to 120lb, and was always called skinny. I don't know what it is about me that made people constantly comment on my weight, but it definitely messes with your head and makes you feel insecure.
