Aaron Hernandez Netflix

So, what? His sexuality shouldn't even be open for discussion. Seems as though he had a plan to end his life before that even happened, nobody knows. But, the way this documentary hyper focused on his sexuality was disgusting. It was poorly done, and complete bogus.

There were three episodes, also discussing his upbringing, his football career, his parents, his tendency toward trouble with sketchy friends, and his CTE. Not mention his trials and a timeline/discussion of his various crimes. Also, yes, his sexuality. I would hardly say it was "hyper focused" on his sexuality. Not even close. It was one of MANY things about him.

I also thought it was interesting the way he spoke to his fiancée on the phone. They reminded me of high schoolers the way they spoke to each other, nothing particularly deep or emotional except for her first call to him in jail when he was crying. He came across extremely immature and almost child like from what I would expect from a man earning $40 million in a billion dollar industry.
Like a thug with no education that got invited to the Met gala and was trying to fit in. He had no chance and probably why he kept going home to CT and his cousins small house and his low level friends. He just wasn’t up to par with how Tom Brady, Tim Tebow could socialize, speak well in interviews, and carry themselves.
I imagine he was acutely aware of this and went back to what he knew: the thugs he grew up with.

You sound kinda nuts.

I asked because considering his background and his upbringing it could’ve been extremely shameful for him, even more so then being found guilty to murder, which caused him to take his life.

I thought it was a bunch of kids at the babysitters, and the abuser was a teen that was at the same (babysitter's) house, at the same time?

I think that radio show played a part, especially because (from my research) Aaron and Jonathan's dad was very homophobic (and machismo), and the boys very much wanted to please their abusive father. I am not saying that the radio show had any right to air that, but I am saying I think it played a part. On the Netflix special, there is another (former?) NFL player who has since come out, and he said no way would he have come out during that time.

Also, during the prison phone calls, it seems Aaron is very conflicted with his sexuality, as he is saying derogatory things about some of the other inmates (he believed to be gay). So yeah, if (for example) Aaron was outed (during the trial) or found to have killed Odin Lloyd because Odin knew about Aaron's sexuality (since confirmed by his brother) - that would have been Aaron's worst nightmare, presumably.

#2 - don’t think they ever officially married, although it seems she added his name? It’s so bizarre. She should be in jail too

+1

She was on camera disposing of evidence!

That was shocking.

Twice!

He grew up in Bristol, CT - one of my good friends is from there originally and around that same time, and there was nothing thug-like about Bristol. From what I gather, Aaron wanted to be a gang banger to prove something to his machismo dad. His dad was denied NFL chances, so Aaron seemed like he wanted to prove to his dad that he could do both. He was a broken little boy trying to impress his dad, it seemed.

It still pisses me off how much the girlfriend was so happy to knowingly dispose of crucial evidence and get away with it the way she did. Plus, she was happy to be a beard for Aaron's money. And how the hell does someone blow a $40m contract, with arguably the greatest NFL team ever composed, doing something that he loves and always dreamed of doing? WT actual F? In the footage shown with Tom Brady, he is all but giving Aaron "the Heisman" it seemed.

And he killed her sister’s boyfriend execution style and the girlfriend sat on AH’s side in court unflinching. I don’t think they speak to this day.

I hope the radio people that outed him feel terrible.
