Anyone else watching the new season of Project Runway?

Tessa is a crap person, and her attitude is unraveling faster than her unfinished hems. Nina and Brandon were throwing major shade on Twitter on Thursday.

I love Bishme, Hester, Garo, and Sebastian. I love Jamall's attitude. He knows he has a lot to learn.

I hope we will see/hear more from him either on PR or in some other way. He has a lot of drive and passion. He isn't a super-aggressive a-hole about it either. I really like him. I really hated that dress he made for the ferry worker though. She looked so unhappy and embarrassed. It made me really sad for her.

In fashion, one day you’re in and the next you’re out.

My opinion has changed a bit:

Hester is talented with a kitschy aesthetic, will appeal to a small niche crowd, on-line.

Bishme’s clothes have been hit or miss and is starting to have a costume-like feel, except for the beautiful purple with ruffle Baltimore dress.

Garo is starting to take the lead with his last garment. All of his work is beautifully tailored and his signature corset is taking on a Jean-Paul Gaultier vibe and talent

Tessa - I forgot about her camping challenge garnet, it was great. I agree with Nina, she has salable clothes already and didn’t really need a runway show, think Garnet Hill or other natural cotton fabrics, easy wear.

Sebastian makes beautiful garments without question. What I do question is his confidence level and the process it takes him to get to the final product. He’s always tortured, confused “ I don’t know what I’m doing” and seems to look for reinforcement and approval from others.

It will be between Sparo and Sebastian..

I meant Tessa’s the Miller’s Daughter not camping garment

I was surprised by Sebastian's near meltdown. I agree that Garo really came through this time. He has a polished professionalism about him and he is cool under pressure with a lot of experience to draw from - that is serving him well. Bishme's oufit and room were my favorites, though.

I’m rooting for Garo now. I think he has the talent and demeanor to do well. I really like Sebastian, but I agree with PP that his lack of confidence is an issue. I feel like he would need a really smart business partner to get anything done.

Jamall has such an intense personal story, the healing trauma through art personal narrative is really powerful to me. I think a lo of his previous design work has been menswear. This is a show of his from 2018:

I'm still thinking that Sebastian is going to win this. Even though this was not his best challenge by far, he still wound up in the top 2. I didn't really care for his dress this time but the judges sure seemed to love it.

Garo IS already doing well. This is for the cherry on top, to bring him to the next level.

Any guesses on the order that they'll finish?

Its funny about last week's elimination because before the show I was really ready for Tessa to be eliminated but I thought her design was way better than Hester's. Tessa's was a little overwrought with all the extra fabric she had the model lugging around but Hester's didn't do anything for the model and I'm getting a little annoyed by her obsession with n*pples. First the pasties and then, if you look at the photos online, the n*pples stand out again. It was so surprising watching the runway show how much they stood out. Hester, we get it. You're 'queer' and obsessed with boobs. But give it a rest, girl!

I think it will be an upset with Hester, Garo, Sebastian and Bishme in that order. I don't think that Hester should win but the judges really like Hester's wacky out-there look/vibe and that overrides everything else. I like Garo's elegance a lot but in some ways he is hemming himself in by limiting himself to looks that work with the corset.

Also, I apologize to anyone in advance who might be offended by the quote marks around queer. I hate that word. My aunt and her partner were lesbians who came out in the 70s, and they have always hated that word so I picked it up. When they say the word they actually make the quote marks with their hands lol. Anyway I realized after I hit submit what I had done and I know that a lot of people, like Hester does, prefer the word. Who am I to judge!?! Anyway, mea culpa.

Sebastian is gay and I'm not clear if Garo and Bishme are, too. But maybe they are also? I don't think that Hester being gay is anything that sets her apart.

Yeah, that’s what I mean. This money and publicity can bring him to the next level. I don’t get the same vibe from Sebastian. I think he would be one of those winners we don’t hear much from because he lacks business savvy.

My favorite project runway music was by Uli Herzner’s “Doggyfun”

Can’t wait for the finale!
