Anyone else watching the new season of project runway on Bravo?
What do you think of the changes? |
| I am. I think it’s good so far. I like Christian Siriano in the mentor role. Not sure about the host yet, the chemistry feels a little off. Always loved Nina Garcia |
Agree with all of this! |
I love Christian so much. It's hard to be encouraging, blunt, helpful, and tough all at the same time, but if anyone can fill Tim Gunn's shoes it's Christian. |
| I love Christian! But so far he seems very reserved. The best thing about him is his biting wit. He’s in a different role, sure, but I hope he comes out of this weird shell. |
| I think Christian will warm up. Karli is meh. She doesn’t have the personality of Heidi. |
|
They fit in transgender, homosexuality, race, socioeconomic class, plus-size AND boot off the rich white girl first show, after pitting her against the poor black girl. Impressive show of progressivism at work.
|
| And it’s got the Bravo vibe - welcome home Project Runway! |
|
I like Christian a lot and I am glad he is on the show. I miss Tim but if we can't have him then Christian is a good choice! The chemistry seems really off with the host and judges. It will be interesting to see how this all works out.
I thought the first show was trying to hard. They don't have to solve all the world's problems on PR... They were sending so many messages that the meaning was lost. |
| I haven’t watched for several years, but came back for Christian. Love him. Karlie is meh, but not terrible. And I think the judges will find their groove together. |
|
I like Christian too but still miss Tim. Hopefully I'll miss him less as the show goes on. Funny but I don't miss Heidi. Karlie isn't bad and I don't mind her. Still getting used to the new judges.
I like some of the work from the older contestants so it's nice to see a wide age range. |
Yes, I did enjoy seeing the rich girl get booted after all the comments about how she doesn't do it that way, she spends much more per outfit, etc... |
|
I like it too, but the way it's filmed seems circa 2011.
Have you ever seen a commercial that's filmed in Europe & you can immediately tell the difference because it seems almost hazy (the mentos commercials are a perfect example). I can't put my finger on it or articulate/explain it well, but the actual film seems like they're using... well, film & not digital. If you look at last season with Tim & Heidi, the quality seems 4K... very crisp & clear, however the way this season on Bravo appears, it's like the original days of HD. |
I TOTALLY AGREE! It feels very stuck 10 years ago -- not the programming/ entertainment, just the quality of the actual film. Compare this season's all stars & this season on Bravo and it's a noticeable difference in appearance. |

I liked how in the later seasons Tim would discuss the outfits with the judges as they reviewed them. Wish they'd bring that interaction back with Christian.
The black girl should have gone first though. |
