I totally agree with you and the other PP. Christian is doing a GREAT job as mentor. I really like it when he is on camera and giving his critiques. I love Tim (!) but Christian is doing a great job shaping the mentor role into something that is truly his own. This season is turning out to be much better than it started. I hope they don't bring back that weird publicist person who looks like she escaped from an institution. She is a hot mess. Her message may be on point but her "look" is so distracting that it is really hard to take her seriously. |
I loved the way Bishme worked with his teacher so well - listened to her. I loved his dress. Tessa's treatment of her client was such a sharp (and negative) contrast. Her client wanted a feminine, short pink dress and Tessa was getting ready to put her in black pants. Total opposite of what her client actually wanted. |
| OK I liked this week's winning dress and I am glad Jamal left this week because he had been around three weeks too long already, but I do hate both of the women who are left |
I don’t know - it’s hard to hate Hester. She is who she is. I hate Tessa. |
I like Hester. She has been supportive of her fellow contestants (including Tessa) and she puts a lot of detail into her work. She's quirky but she seems to be a nice person. Tessa was cute up until the competition heated up and, wow, did the biotchy side ever come out in her. |
| I think Tessa needs to go too, but that flour mill outfit she made for the superwoman competition was really good. I just loved it for being different and well made. The rest of her stuff falls short. |
She is so busy trying to figure out what the judges "want to see" that she is losing her creativity in the process. She is mentally doing herself in. |
| ^agree that the flour mill outfit was really good |
| She also spends too much time talking too and about other people and eavesdropping on others’ conversations. |
+1 Tessa has some very real "mean girl" attributes. I agree with another poster that Hester is very nice. To me she is a nurturer and a little Mother Hen-ish. She has lost her way though in her designs and really seems to be in this groove of being so out-there that she's lost her sense of taste. Her work in the beginning was outstanding. Now she seems to be trying to one-up herself in outlandishness and she will turn out to be her own worst enemy if she doesn't settle down. |
I agree with your assessment of both Tessa and Hester. If Hester can get herself back into the game mentally, she stands a shot at winning. But she is really walking a fine line between creative genius and poor taste. It seems like she lost some confidence after that stupid pastie outfit that she made when she had immunity. |
| Hester’s designs are definitely not my taste, but she’s a nice person and interesting to watch. |
I agree. She seems genuine and doesn't talk smack about others in a mean way. But I'm picking Bishme for the win. |
|
I agree with pretty much everything: Christian is an A+ mentor. I especially loved him this week; he's been pretty vocal about the lack of inclusiveness in the fashion industry, so his high standards for the designers and the dream dresses felt very genuine.
Tessa is a crap person, and her attitude is unraveling faster than her unfinished hems. Nina and Brandon were throwing major shade on Twitter on Thursday. I love Bishme, Hester, Garo, and Sebastian. I love Jamall's attitude. He knows he has a lot to learn. |
| Thank God. Bye, Tessa! |
