Well I've got a friend that knew a guy that was neighbors with a parents that heard about a player that....blah, blah, blah. Post the email, or shut the hell up. |
You lost me at "I've got a friend ..." |
Ha. Agree with the message if not the messenger though. Too much "playing telephone" here, and not enough facts. |
| You guys are arguing with a kid. He “got friends that plays on London who’s parents got the email” shows that this is a 14 year old kid. |
LOL because 14 year old kids are all over this board. This thread is like a dark comedy |
| Four kids were kicked off the team. I don't have an email explaining that but it's true. |
| Is it 4 now? |
Uh huh. Great. You or your buddy can stop impersonating 14 yo kids now. Was it the friend or the kid’s Loudoun team who beat DCU 5-3? Seems like your alter ego forgot. Also, 14 year olds with bad grammar don’t use the word “nor.” Hardly any of the ones with better grammar do either. It’s clear most of the posts here are complete BS. |
Wasn't it always 4? |
| If you look at the first couple pages on this thread, you’d get the impression it was a predatory broomstick |
Yes, both on this thread and in real life, everyone who has heard about the incident from a knowledgeable source has said there were 4 boys involved, all of whom were cut from DCU's academy once DCU became aware of the situation. |
Why are the fuss on this? We have both the DCU and ARL rosters recorded. I plan to check again in March/April to see what, if anything, changes. If it changes, we'll know the "perps." We'll also know where they moved, if within DA or boys ECNL (I've screenshotted the original rosters). I can post the names so people can be on the lookout at non-DA/ECNL clubs. I mean that's what we are all really after, right? Child safety? There should be no issues with this approach if this really happened. Given we don't have anything official, even so much as a simple copy and paste of a warning email from any club, this will have to do. |
This will work. You will see at least 4 kids not on this roster. I say at least 4 because we know that 4 were kicked off the team but who knows if so others left or whatever for some unrelated or even related reasons. But it is a fact that 4 kids were kicked off the team. What isn't true is that Arlington gobbled them up. At least not at this point. My point is that you probably won't see them appear on Arlington's roster in the spring. |
| Why are posters having such a difficult time believing this is true? Is it really that inconceivable? It happens all of the time and kids are afraid to speak up. I’m so proud of this boy for being brave enough and coming forward. This type of behavior is disgusting and it’s about time kids are held accountable. I have a kid in the Loudoun DA (not spelled Loudon BTW), and we did not receive an email. Our TD called a meeting with the parents and explained why kids will not be training with DC United at this time. |
Simple. Because many posters here are full of crap. No sense in worrying about it. Since rosters are published, we can make inferences about what happened via the rosters and announce exactly who people should guard their kids from if four are dropped from DCU. That is what you and other posters who have publicized this here want, right? To ensure that everyone else is safe? Making the nature of the crime and the identity of the perpetrators public is the best way to do that. |
