Nor do we have any indication anything happened, just an anonymously posted rumor on this forum. It's clearly someone who is trying to smear DCU, probably a competitor or slighted parent. This board appears rife with those types.

Not yet. But are we more likely to hear about it (if it happened) if this thread did not exist? I doubt it.

If anything illegal were done, it would have to show up on a Police blotter. We would definitely hear about it. Based on that, if anything did happen, it's nothing like the awful things insinuated in this thread.

Nah. If they weren’t caught doing it and it was word of mouth by the victims, it’s likely they handled it internally. Families may have been satisfied by kids being dropped from team.

BS. If someone attacked my kid in any way, the police would be the next phone call.

This whole thread is a baseless rumor simply meant to try to hurt DCU. Wonder which rival club in the area has an interest in that.

Most parents look the other way because the kid playing at DCU and not making waves or being marked is preferable to them.

There must be a club competing for DA level players who has active members plugging BS on this forum. Hmm, I wonder who it might be...

So now you're implying that DCU is committing a felony crime by covering up a crime AND implying retribution against the parents.

Again, pure BS and most definitely news worthy if it happened. Stuff like that makes it out....there's always a rat.

Did OP ever come back? If P2P sessions were canceled due to the alleged behavior of the players, wouldn't there have been some sort of official notice? What did it say if so?

You would call the police in Montreal, Florida, and New Jersey? You would want to take him to those places to testify in court about what happened to him?

I guess it's reasonable that people would have different answers to those questions. For me personally, the answer might be different if the attackers were adults vs other kids his same age. Not saying that makes it ok either way, just that it would effect how much I'd want to push criminal prosecution / accountability as opposed to just helping my kid recover and feel safe again.

If somebody is trying to make the DCU DA look bad, they are doing a poor job. You would want to allege a hazing incident where the club took no action, not one where it did. Hazing can occur anywhere anytime in youth sports. Some is serious; some is not. The mere occurrence of hazing does not make the club look bad unless it is physically or mentally harmful and the club knew it and did nothing. Regardless of whether any of this happened, the idea that it makes the club look bad is odd unless you think clubs are responsible for everything their players do or you don’t want clubs to stop hazing. In my view, it is either true and makes the club good or it is false and makes the club look good. Others may of course disagree. Just my view as a parent.

The above would be true if something actually happened.....but to post an allegation with no evidence that it actually happened nor conclusive punishment or action is simply an attempt to generate uncertainty. Akin to throwing a bag of excrement on someone’s nice front door. It can be washed off, but the smell still taints the air. In this case the owner isn’t even aware to clear the air on the matter.

Just some anonymous punk with no knowledge of whether or not something happened publicly posting a rumor of hazing based upon, essentially, the cancellation of a few events.

This did happen. 4 players were removed. No hazing, just horrific bullying. No coaches were aware and all was handled internally. Believe or not, it did take happen. I think they handled this properly without media trying to make it a bigger deal than it already is. All parents seem to be satisfied with decision.

Fellow DCU parent here. I agree with all of that. I don't think the club was at fault at all, and when they found out they handled it appropriately, with the focus on ensuring the safety of the players moving forward.
