I can't find that quote on CNN's website now. No other news outlet seems to be carrying the report. Do you have a link to the story? |
A lot of the violence does seem to come from the second generation. |
It's in their main story. http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/22/europe/germany-munich-shooting/index.html |
"Foreign gunman" - as you put it, appears incorrect. The gunman answers in perfect German and stars he grew up there. So its likely he is a citizen - maybe even born there However - it's also likely the people yelling "Turks" and "Foreigner" perceived the shooter as an ethnic Turk; I surmise the shooter will turn out to be the son of Turkish immigrants; many Turkish immigrants are Muslim. It's still early, but if the eyewitness CNN is quoting is right about the "Alula Akbar" shout (by the gunman) then this attack follows the patterns of the Charlie Hebdo attacks (the brothers were native born Parisians) and in part the San Bernadino attack (the husband was a Chicago native). All of of these assailants, along with the Boston Bombers, appear to have "self radicalized" into Islamic terrorism- largely through use of the Internet. |
I am in Munich and have heard that witness describe this on multiple channels (here at our hotel/ tv channels).. |
Different poster but here is the link to the video. http://www.cnn.com/2016/07/22/europe/germany-munich-shooting/ |
Yep. I lived in Berlin and Munich 2002-2004. Safe, safe cities. Big Turkish population in Berlin that was well assimilated. Let's say it : radical Islam. That is what has gone viral. Freaks are drawn to it like a magnet. You can be nice and sweet and they still want to kill you because you are a non-believer (yes you newborn baby, 10-year old boy, etc). They are told to come. Fit in and lay low (like the 9/11 killers at the strip bars; the college student and his brother responsible for the Boston bombings, the Orlando shooter that frequented Pulse)...all described as friendly. Read the websites by Isil, etc on how to spread Islam. Chilling. I'm not afraid of immigration. My ancestors were immigrants. I'm afraid of the current talk of "let them all in and just be nice"...completely missing the point of that some are banking on just that to spread the evil dogma. It's the ideology we need to change. Yes, war and bombing will probably only make it spread---but teaching these actions are bad and it's a threat to humanity and you should t do this to susceptible populations is not being done either---we aren't even allowed to call it what it is. |
This second generation terrorism by Muslims is a pattern which is why vetting the refugees is pointless because even if parents are okay - kids are turning out to become radicalized. |
It's right in the middle of the main story on CNN: witness who will only be identified as Lauretta told CNN her son was in a bathroom with a shooter at the McDonald's. "That's where he loaded his weapon," she said. "I hear like an alarm and boom, boom, boom... And he's still killing the children. The children were sitting to ear. They can't run." Lauretta said she heard the gunman say, "Allahu Akbar," or God is great. "I know this because I'm Muslim. I hear this and I only cry." |
They played the womans account over the telephone on CNN. I watched it and heard her. Her son watched the terrorist load the gun in the bathroom and the lady was next to him shooting. |
Right it makes sense she did not get shot even if she was next to him because she was also Muslim. |
Was her son ok? Is "to ear" supposed to be 'there'? |

But meanwhile, here was Pres Obamas thoughts on the terror threat this morning in a speech atracking Trump. That the alleged threat doesnt jive with any facts and its not reality for most people. . .watch for yourself. Tell this to the families in Munich. .

Nope. He has said we should put a moratorium on immigration from areas with entities known to promote radical Islamic terrorism UNTIL we can set up a system to properly screen the immigrants. Once they're properly screened, they can come in, if they qualify. |
A witness, who is Muslim, said she heard him yell "allahu akbar" per CNN. |
