Opening presents during a birthday party versus after

You are like putty in this troll's hands people. Does anyone not see the difference in normal disagreements and troll posts?

Anyway, I asked my 5 and 12yr old and they both like watching others open presents. But for us it is whatever the hosts wants. It is their child's day and my kids are just happy to be invited. that said, my 12yr old really likes seeing her friends reactions as she works really hard (almost scary) to get the perfect gift for her friends. At her age every party has gift opening though. My 5yr old has only about 1/3 that open at party. We still do but we have house parties with no more than 10 kids. I have girls though and they love that stuff. Boys usually don't care and the one co-ed party we had. Well, it was our ONLY co-ed party ever
