Private & Independent Schools
|
We all made our decisions without ERB scores and it was just not that a big deal. If you really want to go to a private school, you will find a way to make the decision without them I just hope it is not ours because your attitude is so bad.
For your sake and ours, please stay public. You will be much happier. |
Your feelings are acknowledged, however, some of us still prefer to take positions for good and valid reasons. |
| I think you have provided the explanation for why "test-driven parents" might be less desirable quite well on your own. |
Sorry, too late for that. |
| Rats. |
| I do have other younger children. You may still get your wish. Don't despair. |
| Okay. Thanks for that. |
| 16:41 and 16/45 again . I AM teasing by the way ... no need for everyone to take this type of discussion quite so seriously. I think both sides have some good points ... |
Whoaa Nelly! Aren't you being obnoxious by calling people on the other side of the argument obnoxious? That's called an ad hominem attack which, together with your straw men about kids who can't spell makes your side pretty obnoxious Personally, I find the whole attitude of "my kids are in a great school and the rest of you can suck eggs before you plunk down your 30K to be obnoxious.... Sorry if I've offended your delicate sensibilities! |
Sorry, the point still eludes me. Please enlighten us. Try to avoid more insulting posts like this one as you do so. |
Good for you. You are right we are in private school and we can make decisions without them. But's that not a valid argument to deprive others of this information if they seek it. We all know that schools aren't oblogated to release this information, but imagine for one moment, if they did, like some schools do release SSAT, SAT, ACT data for comparative purposes, has a crime been committed? Is anyone hurt? |
Ditto. We made our decisions about which private without ERB. I just wish it was different. |
And insulting us proves that the test-hiders are superior? Huh? Frankly, you're way ahead in the obnoxious races. |
| Honest question here. Might one reason that schools choose not to publish this data (ERB scores) be that even when aggregated, the scores link up to a very small number of students at many schools? I'm afraid my statistics is pretty ancient history ... probably a non-issue. |
This. Could somebody explain the fear, before we all get lost in name-calling? |
