Only millennials would know what those phrases are. And no one uses those anymore. |

The economy isn't that bad and is improving I agree, but there is growing disparity of wealth that creates a huge divide between haves and have nots that continues to grow. There are many many people in the US who do not and will not ever really have access to wealth or good quality healthcare or owning home. That's a big problem, and regardless of the conditions and causes, they are going to revolt and demand change from the people who clamor for their loyalty and promise them that change in a way that is compelling to them.
Also, a crowded mall during the holidays in one of the highest HHI counties in the whole country is not any indicator of how good the economy is. Don't try to use this to reason with people: you will look foolish and simple. I also doubt it takes an hour to get in. Exaggeration and hyperbole are not necessary to make a point. In fact they discredit you. Just say it's packed with lots of traffic. |
Have you driven by Tysons lately? The traffic to get into the mall was backed up onto the highway last week when we drove by. I wouldn't be surprised. We went past the Tysons exit and had to take the next exit and double back to get to our destination in a reasonable timeframe. |
Hahaha, millennials are the ones that don't know those phrases. |
No you can't. Because it is not true and you're pulling all of this out of your ass. |
Im a millennial and used these phrases for much of my youth. |
I see you haven't pointed out where there was anything negative said about the DC dialect. And yes, I can guarantee you that they sound nothing alike. Sorry that seems to hurt you. |
The Lerners and Chuck Robb have the same accent. That's DC, Chevy Chase and Mt. Vernon. |
???? You seem highly intent on proving a point that is just not true and no one agrees with. It is just bizarre. Is this all so that you can prove that someone talking about DC dialects is racist? I guess that is what you are doing. |
Bullcrap DC, NoVA and MoCo/PG are a single cultural region. But yes, that PP is using "DC" as code for black. |
I'm that PP and I can still assure you that no code was used. I said what I meant. NOVA is a world apart from DC, MoCo and definitely PGC. |
I cannot believe I figured it out so easily. Also, you are really showing how little you know about this area. |
+1 the doubling down on wrong information is very weird. |
I guess it’s just that critically important to prove use of the phrase “DC dialect” is racist. |
