Tyson’s Corner Shopping is mobbed by shoppers and yet people think the economy is bad?

Anonymous
In 2008, we nicknamed Tysons the recession free zone.

Not everyone who shops at Tyson’s is rich. All you gotta do is turn in the news. Guess what? RECORD BREAKING Black Friday sales. Not bad for such a “bad economy” that people voted against the democrats for. Record breaking means across the United States and of all income levels. So again, a huge disconnect of uneducated bros and deplorables voting against their own interests, especially when things are running quite well.

Yet if you go to Tysons Corner shopping mall right now, it’s an hour to get in and there are lines of people everywhere buying stuff they don’t even need. It’s astonishing how they voted for all the wrong reasons when the reality is clearly the opposite of what they think is going on.

Go check out Montgomery Mall it’s so sad. It’s a beautiful mall and it’s empty. I wish we had that development and prosperity on the Maryland side!! And we’re the idiots that think the economy is great and democrats are awesome: our restaurants are empty. Businesses suffering. Malls are wastelands.
Which side makes more sense to you???? Busy thriving bustling Virginia with new businesses popping up everywhere??? Or blue democratic stronghold Maryland dying on the vine???

I’m at Mongormery Mall. It’s packed! WTF are you talking about?

Record breaking indeed across the board. So what’s the explanation for this now?

Economy is going strong. Stocks are way up. Wages are up. I'm not much of a shopper, so I only go to Tysons I to eat and I almost always work on the day after Thanksgiving to avoid those crowds.

Fears have been diminished due to looking forward to a better economy under Trump?
Studies show that consumer patterns reflect their outlook/attitudes about future circumstances. If Harris had won, people would have stayed home.

Btw, no idea if any of the above is actually accurate, but you’re looking for an explanation so there ya go.

They’re buying things off Temu while complaining about Chinese people

Yep and voted for Trump but will be so mad that they have to pay more for their cheaply made Chinese junk.

They will find a way to blame the Dems.

The Ballston mall has nothing to do with the economy.

I couldn't believe the line of cars jamming the beltway to get into Tysons this afternoon!

Don't people shop online while digesting their turkey?

Ballston isn’t even a mall. It only has a movie theater and restaurants and a sports bar.

One mall does not = America.

I can’t believe OP is this dense. Tyson’s does not represent America.

All MAGA voters care about is the border. They can’t see anything outside of that.

They are obsessed with those images and can’t see past anything also. They really think Trump will make things better for them.
