| There is a sever disconnect with Americans voting to the right because of the “economy”. Yet if you go to Tysons Corner shopping mall right now, it’s an hour to get in and there are lines of people everywhere buying stuff they don’t even need. It’s astonishing how they voted for all the wrong reasons when the reality is clearly the opposite of what they think is going on. |
| But that’s just one mall. And one of the best, too. This is not the same experience at Dulles Town Center or Fair Oaks, or Springfield. Ballston is gone. |
| Is it really that astonishing? |
| The people who think the economy is bad aren’t at Tyson’s and they probably don’t even live in the immediate area unless they are in the low income apartments. |

They’re buying things off Temu while complaining about Chinese people |
+1. OP, don't be dense. I'd bet my bottom dollar the majority of people at Tysons today (not Tyson's) voted for Harris. Does that make you feel better? |
| Same scene at the Leesburg outlets. |
| It’s Black Friday after all. The busiest shopping day. |
It’s almost always busy at Tysons – I’m there several times a week. But also, it was never “about the economy“. |
| Everyone trying to stock up before the tariff rebound |
Its a very busy shoplifting day at Tysons! |
Yep and voted for Trump but will be so mad that they have to pay more for their cheaply made Chinese junk. |
| Wealthy people are doing better than ever. Everyone else not so much. This is why trump got elected. |
Tyson’s serves the entire region because it’s the best and largest mall. My relatives in Spotsylvania make occasional trips to Tyson’s. All of the tiny malls around are dying and on their last leg. When all of the other malls around go, Tyson’s will be the last one standing. |
