Why is the younger generation of men more conservative than in the past?

I think a lot of it is fiction being brewed up in echo chambers, like the phony "TradCath" crap or the mentality of believing the 50s were about coming home to a wife who is all made up, hands you a martini at the door and has dinner on the table as if "Leave it to Beaver" were true life. Maybe they should talk to guys like my stepdad who grew up in the '50s and who could tell them about some of the rough times they had growing up..

I think there is also a huge naivete factor - they have no clue about how much in our society comes because of all of the hard work their predecessors have done. They tend to take a LOT for granted - kind of like that "A Day in the Life of Joe Republican" thing that circulates every once in a while.

A Danish study in 2023 used machine learning to predict the political bias of 3323 people. It had an accuracy of 61%, and found that good-looking, attractive faces tended to be right-wing -- or conservative.

In addition, they found that men with high upper-body strength are less likely to support communism (or the forced redistribution of wealth).

What's more conservative women tended to have more feminine faces than their liberal female counterparts.

And controlling for socioeconomic status, more attractive people are much more likely to identify as conservative than liberal.

It's just one of several studies that have found that conservatives tend, in general, to be more attractive than liberals.

They know they can get a job with healthcare. They know the ACA will allow them to access health care if times get tough.

They don't buy the claim that giving someone in need asylum means they themselves won't be able to get a job, because they have worked entry level jobs and they know employers are having trouble finding employees for entry level jobs because unemployment is low. They know family friends who are farm owners who cannot get anyone to work because the people you calm are having their jobs "taken" from them would rather earn the same wages sitting at Sheetz then mucking out a barn. There arent' enough employees to work the farm. When my oldest hears someone make that claim, he asks what job did you lose to someone not authorized to work in the U.S.? The answer is always a defensive "I've never been unemployed and I've never been fired." Bluff called.
