Because we're trying to debunk false rumors. I posted a thread debunking the idea that Harris was the border czar so I thought it reasonable to post one that cleared up some mistruths about Vance.

YOu have to be a really sour person to not laugh at the idea that Vance has had to spend his first week as Veep nominee clearing up that he doesn't have sex with furniture—or at least that he has never WRITTEN that he has sex with furniture.

But that’s what people are saying. I think it seems strange that JD Vance would have sex with furniture but I have heard the accusation in more than one place. Seems it would not be repeated again and again unless maybe JD Vance did, in fact, have intercourse with furniture.

I agree. Title is misleading. I don’t know that he didn’t have sex with that sofa. Op is open to the possibility he did and I’ve heard from several people I’ve never me on the interweb it’s true. The purpose of this thread of make sure people know that if he did sexually assault that sofa, like people are saying, he didn’t write about it.

We need to combat the rumor he did written that he f—- the couch cushions with a rubber glove Because Truth matters. And if the truth is inconvenient, you should, at a minimum, present alternative facts.
