Bill Splitting Etiquette (Happy Hour)

I had “lunch” with my boss and another colleague at a fancy wine bar. Tab with an expensive bottle of wine was $300 plus tip. Boss never put down a credit card so the server split the bill between me and the other underling. This was not a one off. I’ll never see that money. Venting!
