I’m in Gatlinburg, TN

Unfortunately we all pay extra in health insurance when others don't care about how much they weigh. It will one day catch up with them.

The sad thing is their kids have no choice. Nobody is showing them a healthy diet.

They all will die an early death, diabetic syndrome, high blood pressure and not being mobile.

And don't get me started on the fat acceptance movement. That is surely an early death. They have no clue because they're young and dumb.

And people in DC are fatter than those in NYC or Europe. That's the nature of this country and the Standard American Diet.

I'm originally from CA. When we moved to the DC area, we went to some fairs, like the Ag fair, Renaissance fair. I was shocked at how many obese people there were.

DC itself doesn't have many obese people. In general, cities don't have a lot of obese people. It's the suburbs and rural areas that have a lot of obese people.

But the south does have an outside share of cities with the most obesity, with TN leading the pack:

Fattest Cities in America
1. McAllen, TX 11. Chattanooga, TN
2. Memphis, TN 12. Tulsa, OK
3. Baton Rouge, LA 13. Augusta, GA
4. Little Rock, AR 14. Greenville, SC
5. Shreveport, LA 15. Fayetteville, AR
6. Birmingham, AL 16. Myrtle Beach, SC
7. Jackson, MS 17. San Antonio, TX
8. Mobile, AL 18. Wichita, KS
9. Lafayette, LA 19. New Orleans, LA
10. Knoxville, TN 20. Nashville, TN

That list of fattest cities is so sad. 100% red states. Loss of stable factory jobs and the GQP rules everyone up about how they are victims. It didn’t have to be this way.

One of many subjects JD Vance tries to make sense of in Hillbilly Elligy (poorly). He laments that his grandmother eats nothing but junk food which hastens her death, then also gets angry at people who try to do something about all the fast food restaurants in their area, like, "who the hell are they to be telling us what to eat??"

He's such a dunce. A very conflicted dunce.

At least he is going to lose the Ohio Senate race by a wide margin

Don't forget drinking, smoking, driving too fast, sitting on the sofa watching TV, using drugs, etc.

Don’t forget teflon, forever chemicals, environmental carcinogens, etc.

I know marathon runners and super fit folks who eat clean and do all the right things who developed cancer in their 30s or dropped dead of a heart attack in their 40s. On paper, nobody would have predicted their health misfortune.

Plus, all American foods are heavily processed…and then we cook them in cookware lined with forever chemicals.

Vance is up by 3 points. Ohio is borderline stupid.

My son is tall and lean and he wears a medium. Finding a medium was akin to searching for a unicorn. However, XL-3XL were a plenty.

Maybe because the smaller sizes sold out?

We were just in West Virginia and saw a one year old baby with Coca Cola in their sippy cup… it’s so sad.

As if the DMV - INSIDE the Beltway - isn't full of the same exact types of people, just with maybe fewer college degrees. Big deal.

You are an imbecile and proof of everything that is wrong with this country.

Not according to 538. The Emerson poll is a huge outlier.

1) how do you know it was actually coca cola, or any other soft drink? Sippy cups are opaque, so the content's color is distorted.

2) how do you know the child was 1?
