Show a little humility and class. It's so braggy. Barf! |
Since when is pride in a child's accomplishments "braggy"? When my friends post about their kids, or just tell me, I am so happy for them. Why would that make someone "barf"? That is really weird to me. Why would you care what someone else does? I guess we both have an idiosyncratic position about people. You don't like people who are publicly proud of their children, and I find judgmental people baffling. So we are even. |
Your friends post all the acceptances? Not just the choice where their child will matriculate? That is braggy. Sorry. |
| So can you post when you get engaged? What about all the poor people looking for love?? When you have kid? What about the childless not by choice?? |
Yes. Absolutely post the engagement. But if there are multiple proposals....don't post them all. |

I've only ever seen these from the vlogging families I follow. They usually do the hats lined up but more recently they've started to go the gender reveal type of deal with cakes and color smoke bombs.
Tacky. |
I didn't say that. I said I don't judge people by what they post on social media. Whatever makes them happy is fine with me. Why do YOU care so much? |
That sounds sweet, and not at all like what OP and others of us are cringing about |
Since always. Good grief. |
Wow. You sound aggressive. |
Since being judgy is ok, apparently, I will judge you and say you sound like a horrible person and appear to be a bad, jealous and unsupportive friend. Since judging is ok. |

So why do you follow these tacky people? |
This is so asinine. My kid’s friends have shared their acceptances with each other. Some had applied to the same schools. Some were rejected. None of them cried foul or curled up in balls and couldn’t take the news. Guess what? Another party soon and all of them will be sharing their admissions and where they are likely to go. Some may even find roommates there. Announcing successful admissions is very common among the kids. Why you are making this into a Hippa violation is strange. You have no skin in other peoples games. |
