Pp's kids obviously lack the taste to go anywhere nice.

That’s what private schools do on poor weather days. With computers, why not teach online for one day when weather is bad? It’s better than a no school option. Ugg.

But KiDS DiDNT LeArN AnYtHInG last year…seen more “stay closed, don’t go virtual… just extend school into July and august” posts in the last few days than ever before. No one can win with the people in this county.

Your keyboard seems to be broken. Might want to look into a new one.

Congratulations for being the 5,000th person DCUM to make this idiotic "joke." When you go to the grocery store, be sure to tell the clerk "if it doesn't scan, it must be free. HAHAHAHA I'M SO FUNNY."

The sad thing is it's the same person making the joke 5000 times.

And the same person always writing bizarrely? They clearly need a hobby.

They closed because they don't have enough staff. Not enough teachers. Not enough subs. Not enough bus drivers. Not enough grounds personnel to clean the sidewalks (and maybe roads).

Everywhere is closed. Why would MCPS open today when no one else is?

This is factually untrue.

The roads are too warm for the snow to stick this morning.

It’s starting to stick to the roads here in SS and the heaviest snow is expected between 8:00 and 11:00. It was the right decision.

You are an idiot. Bethesda is an absolute mess right now. And I live off a main road.

MCPS parents in a nutshell. No wonder they can't get any decent superintendent applicants.
.

This is hilarious and so true

What is the prediction for tomorrow? A 2 h delay would be nice. My high schooler would love to sleep in. MCPS is so backwards with their crazy ass early high school start times.

My bet is a 2 hour delay.

The roads up and mid county are fine. There’s a thin layer of very wet snow on the roads that haven’t been treated or plowed, but those are fine to drive on.

City of Rockville here. Normally our roads are cleared very quickly and very well by the city. Roads are bad right now where I am.

It is not a stretch to assume that a lot of people who normally clear the snow might be sick.
