You are an idiot. Bethesda is an absolute mess right now. And I live off a main road.

False. I live off main road too and it’s totally clear.

It is not a stretch to assume that a lot of people who normally clear the snow might be sick.

It’s a stretch.

DP. There was actually a press release from the county::
“ Due to a high number of COVID-19 cases, there is a shortage of snowplow operators and contractors available to address this storm event,” said Richard Dorsey, MCDOT chief of Highway Services.

Pp's kids obviously lack the taste to go anywhere nice.

There is literally no place nicer to go in this county for kids or adults.

This is worse than snow. It's really icy out there right now.

At 6 am my Bethesda street was clear with snow just on the grass; now the street is totally covered. MCPS made the right call.

The roads up and mid county are fine. There’s a thin layer of very wet snow on the roads that haven’t been treated or plowed, but those are fine to drive on.

I'm just hear to chuckle while you keep chewing that crow, troll.

I’m serious. They might not be fine where you live. I saw some video of the conditions in VA, and things look nastier down there. But they’re fine in the northern half of MoCo.

Wisconsin through Bethesda us always something stupid, snow or no snow. River Rd is clear. Bradley is clear. Goldsboro is clear. Wilson is clear.

It’s crazy that people lie so much. The county said it was no problem. And here we are and it’s no problem.

That’s what private schools do on poor weather days. With computers, why not teach online for one day when weather is bad? It’s better than a no school option. Ugg.

And you know what is better than that? Making up the day. MCPS still has one snow day left built into the current calendar, but subsequent snow days will have to be made up using one of the make-up days identified in the calendar.

Let me guess…You live upcountry and your street is “fine” therefore MCPS made the wrong call and schools should be open? The world should revolve around you? Do you see all of the school closures in the metro area? Everything is closed. Why in the world should MCPS have open school buildings today?

Today uses up the last built-in snow day; they used the first for the day before Thanksgiving. Any future snow days need to be made up.
