Blake at Churchill basketball game

A fight broke out at the game this week. It appears to have started with two players and then coaches and parents got involved. What the heck! Not that any of it is excusable but I see where teens have hormones and adrenaline pumping but the adults have no excuse. What kind of model are they for the players and students watching? Disgusting and sad.

Poor coaching by coaches who are not coaching the kids in things off the court. They need to teach the kids not to react but they don't. Both coaches and all players involved need to kicked off the team.

Jeff Sullivan needs to be fired at the county level as well, he has done nothing to curb this behavior in and at the sporting events. This entire RAISE thing is stupid and makes no sense.

Jeff Sullivan needs to be fired at the county level as well, he has done nothing to curb this behavior in and at the sporting events. This entire RAISE thing is stupid and makes no sense.

+1 MCPS Coaches should be setting the example of appropriate behavior. At a minimum, fire coaches for fighting. If any of the coaches touched any student athletes, MCPS including Principal Taylor and the Churchill Athletics Director as mandated reporters should be filing a report for physical abuse to Child Protective Services.

I have a hard time seeing what is happening--it seems like at least some of the adults (maybe coaches?) are trying to break up the fight and one parent is trying to participate in it... is that what you see?

Aerial view helps. Clearly Churchill player started it, but I don't see wrongdoing by coaches, right?

Is churchill in black or white? I think White.

If you go to the 1st second of the clip a white boy in black on on the ground, he gets up and bunches the black kid in white which knocks him out of bounds.

The black kid in white comes in from the out of bounds goes down the court and punches the white kid in black.

I can't figure out who is on the white t-shirt at the end, a parent or coach and there is a guy on the ground trying to defend himself by kicking, it's not clear who those are.

Churchill's uniforms are white. No idea who the white-T-shirt belongs to. But I'd imagine some of the adult-looking people may be students (spectators) rather than parents.

Video does show the entire incident.

Churchill (white jersey) blindsided Blake player and knocked him to the ground. Blake player gets up and shoves Churchill player out of bounds. Churchill player runs down court and throws first punch.
