Or until there’s another fight. This year has been a sh$t show at Churchill this year. Starting day one with Principal Taylor tackling a kid to break up a fight, to the assault and knife incident in the bus loop, to the basketball brawl. Restorative Justice is bs. There needs to be consequences. There also needs to be SROs.

This year has been a sh$t show all over the country this year.

My take is that Mr. Taylor spends so much time looking for Central Office to write his emails and to determine disciplinary actions that there is little he has control of at Churchill.

You act as if this is his choice. Central office is required to approve all such letters, generally to the chagrin of principals.

So why have a Principal then? He does absolutely nothing for the school. Mr. Taylor might as well have a desk assignment in Central Office.

And apologies with restorative practices - how is that working out? More violence and no consequences which leads to more violence.

What does the increasing violence say about Central Office leadership of Churchill? They were the ones who were ineffectual for supporting Mrs. Heckert to the point she was unsuccessful and now is an Assistant Principal. Central Office brought in Mr. Taylor but then cuts him off at the knees to the point he can’t send out an email during a lockdown of students at schools and he sends out a general boiler plate email for a brawl at a basketball game that makes the evening news.
