Everyone's entitled to free speech, but this is sleazy.

I don’t have a problem with that. Meanwhile, this is what Dems are doing:

Can’t get much more dishonest than that.

I think this is what should be plastered all over VA:

At least that says "Paid for by the Page County Democratic Committee." Is it dishonest because it's red and features a picture of Trump?

Nobody had ever heard of Justice for Democracy.

🚨As early voting begins for the redistricting referendum, Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger sent this news release claiming this would be “temporary.” Democratic lawmakers have repeated the word “temporary” as they try to sell voters on a 10D-1R map.

What’s temporary about it? Would the gerrymandered districts go back to what they are now at a certain time?

Does anyone believe four potential new members of Congress (like Del. Dan Helmer (D) who has attempted to run for Congress 3x) would be ok with going back to the current map and voluntarily give up their seat in Congress?

It wouldn't be the current map - it would be a new map determined by the 2030 census. And supposing Helmer is a sitting House member by then, it's not a given that he'd be giving up his seat.

Assuming the commission can agree on a new map. It won't.

It’s frightening the lack of self-awareness in this post.

I agree with you. All one has to do is label the “other” something repugnant and that justifies their own horrible behavior.

The poster honestly believes they are doing the right thing. Of course they are ignoring the history of humankind. But hey as long as they get back at those “Nazis”.

You act as if there are no black conservatives.

You act as if it’s alright to eliminate representation as long as it’s white people.

This is all about Northern Virginia. It is about distributing Northern Virginia voters into the rest of Virginia through these long fingers they drew. The new map puts your congressman from anywhere from Arlington and Alexandria to nearly Virginia Beach and advocating for that entire 'strip' of constituents, or from Arlington to nearly Winchester on the Northern end. In my eyes all gerrymandering with their crazy lines is bad, because it tears apart the counties and regions with their crazy lines. Yes, the Republicans started it in other States, but I've never looked at those before or after maps. This time it is about my state, my region, my county. For constituency, this is bad. The wishes and needs of Alexandria are not the wishes and needs of the Tidewater area. And with time, you will see this backfire. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Both parties are now playing stupid games and soon it won't matter who started it.

I agree. N Arlington is not Culpeper or farther out. It is bad electing a new Member who represents that skinny district. We would be disenfranchised, including Arlington residents who are immigrants.

I voted NO and mailed it in.

It sucks but MAGA needs to be stopped before they completely destroy our country, whether it’s by turning it into an authoritarian police state domestically or waging an illegal war for Israel abroad. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and we can’t ignore what MAGA is doing in other states as much as we might like.

Swing voter and I will vote ‘no’. Trump will be out in 2 years. I like living in a purple state. Keeps things well balanced IMO.

Do you work for the Justice for Democracy PAC? They just mailed me that exact same picture and quote.

If only they had sent it to me before I mailed in my yes vote. Oh well!
