Inspired by Tom Waits song “What’s He Building in There,” nosy neighbors jump to big conclusions. As neighbors, some know each other, others not so much. See what ignites when a neighbor’s odd behavior is evaluated by gross assumptions all because of branches of a tree that hang over a fence. The beauty of the moment has a life of its own like a disaster waiting to happen should a tree fall over! Capitol Learning Academy is officially open with our first cohort of students! We run a multi-age, personalized elementary school that allows students to move through each subject area at a pace that works for them. We spend our afternoons in small groups, learning to answer open-ended science and history related questions, hear different perspectives, and collate information into our own lasting opinions and knowledge. Our tuition is calculated uniquely for each family based on incomes, so that we are a truly socioeconomically diverse community. We have several open houses coming up this fall, and accept students ages 6-10 for the 2020-21 school year (or still have space for 2 students in our current school year). To support young theatre artists on the move, Celebrate with us at our March for the Arts festival! All are welcome! Georgetown's history of mystery doesn't deter counselors from setting up camp Ellington at the historic Duke Ellington School of the Arts campus. All of the superstitious locals warn against it, but the young counselors pay little heed to the old-timers. Campers enjoy activities like moonbounces, sack races, camp stories and costume contests, but mysteriously they keep disappearing. "Who will survive and what will be left of them?" Come join the fun and solve the mystery at Camp Ellington on Saturday, October 26th from 10-1. Guests will participate in an arts festival and March through Georgetown with performances and events from classic horror films. "Be afraid. Be very afraid." Fun for the whole family! We're celebrating and evil loves to party. Come dressed up to enter our costume contest!

Learn about the Blackfeet Nation and the many aspects unique to Blackfeet culture through this two-day festival. The Blackfeet Reservation, located in northwestern Montana along the eastern slopes of the Rocky Mountains, is home one of the 10 largest tribes in the United States, with more than 17,000 enrolled members. Blackfeet artists, performers, historians and culture bearers will share demonstrations and performances throughout the festival weekend. Highlights will include seasonally appropriate dances and stories, and demonstrations of making traditional regalia from the hides of buffalo, deer, elk and antelope. During the celebration, visitors can see traditional and contemporary artistic creations, including beadwork, handcrafted jewelry, quillwork, pottery, horsehair work, moccasins, carvings and baskets.
