STEM Pavilion featuring a STEM Carnival of flight simulators, lego robotics, drones, ship building design, coding and virtual technology. The STEM Pavilion will also have a diverse set of table exhibitors representing varied STEM fields.
The Black Student Fund and Latino Student Fund Independent School Fair is a forum for Washington metropolitan area families to meet with representatives from more than 70 local and national independent schools and educational programs.

The BSF/LSF School Fair will include a STEM Pavilion with STEM careers, education and hands-on activities for children and families. The STEM Pavilion will feature the Patriots Technology Training STEM Carnival; the carnival includes Flight Simulators, Drone Simulators, Ship Building Design, Video Game Design, Software Coding, Lego Robotics, Amusement Park Design and a solar system game system.
Our diverse set of table presenters include:
• The Percy Julian Institute (PJI): a STEM program featuring coding, robotics and visits to STEM events for middle school students and parents.
• National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration: showcasing its work in ocean and atmospheric research and its internship programs.
• Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory staff: demonstrate robotics and applied physics.
• Tuskegee Veterinary Medicine Alumni Association: share opportunities about veterinary science and technology at Historic Tuskegee School.
• Howard University College of Dentistry students from Howard University: talk about careers in dentistry and oral health and the history at America’s oldest African-American Dentistry School.
• Federal Aviation Administration: share information about careers in STEM aviation and STEM sciences related to flight.
• GeoSciences Bridge Program’s Living Marine Resources Science Center at The University of Maryland Eastern Shore: staff from the GeoSciences Bridge Program will share information on careers in geo-science.
• Smithsonian Institution Youth Internship Program: share STEM research and program opportunities.
Bring your children to the School Fair to visit the STEM Pavilion. The Pavilion will open at 3pm and close at 6pm.
