You are out of your simple mind, Sweetie. Ever been attacked by a stranger outside? I have. It was f**king terrifying. Expecting someone to walk into work in the dark is unconscionable. Some sick neighbor could watch her go into work everyday at 6:30 and see an easy mark. He knows her routine and knows that she can't see anything. He didn't even have to leave his house to find her either. You should think before you run your fat mouth. You have no idea what you're talking about. |
So how is your attacker going to see anything?!?!?!?!?! Is his employer going to install lights for him???? |
The hell are you talking about? |
Not the OP, but I am going to take this advice for my own nanny. Thank you!! |
|
No you are not asking to much.
I is likely just forgetfulness. Ask about the motion activated light. Take a self defense class not a one of those joke "for ladies" classes but a real one. Consolidate what you have to carry with you. Have proper key in hand before you get out of car. Walk like a boss. |
|
I don't know many people that leave the outdoor lights on all night. That costs electricity and light bulbs. Maybe you can suggest motion lights (an investment), or timer lights, or something else.
Luckily, sunrise will soon be 6:30 or earlier in much of the country |
| Life is so scary, I don't know how you people even leave the house! |
??? |
Is it too much to ask DB to install solar powered garden lights from their house down both directions of the public sidewalk so I can park on either side. And also is it too much to ask DB to watch out the window 5 minutes before my scheduled arrival time to make sure the coast is clear and watch me approach for safety? And is it too much to ask that DB install a biometric house lock so someone can't break in incase I forget to lock the door? Oh and is it too much to ask that MB provide pepper spray as part of my compensation package? |
Calm the f**k down. Asking for light is hardly controversial. You really have nothing better to do than come up with such a lame response at 10:30? Get a life nutwad. |
I was sexually assaulted by a stranger while walking alone in the dark. This isn't something to joke about. Everyone deserves to have safe working conditions. Why is asking for a porch light to be left on such an unreasonable thing to you? This entire thread makes me sad. |
I would not leave my porch lights on all night for nanny. Nor would I race down at 6:30 am to turn them on for her. If my nanny ever asked for something so ridiculous I would fire her, but luckily I have nothing to worry about because I hired a mentally stable nanny. |
|
No it's not asking to much and asking is hardly a fireable offense.
Isn't this common courtesy? I am up and on my way to work if it is dark when nanny is due to arrive I switch the light on. If it is dark when I come on my nanny switches the light on for me. |
You are a nasty, nasty person. |
You would fire someone for asking you to leave a porcelain tht on for her in the dark? That says waaaaaaaay more about you than it does her. |
