Sure you do |
You can be hot by projecting confidence. Be happy, upbeat, and sure, a little sexy if you want. Screw the people that won't look at you because you aren't 20s anymore. You know what? 30s women are so much more polished, assured, sexually confident and yes, hot. Let's go out.... |
Serious question. Why is it SO DAMN HARD for some people to believe that a woman in her 40's is hot? You literally have NEVER EVER seen Pp. EVER. Yet you're so confident she's ugly. Really, why? Does it make you feel better about your own ugly soul to try to make PP feel bad? |
Because they aren't? |
Because after the age of roughly 30 womens looks start deteriorating very rapidly. Its not impossible for a 45 year old to be hot. Just very unlikely. Way less than 1% of 45 year old women are hot. She can look good compared to her peers but put her next to a hot 25 year old and no one would even notice her |
Cool statistic. I'm sure it's very scientific. |
I'm in my 40s and feel hot. I was at the beach with my 21 year old Au pair who is gorgeous and you know what? As many people talked to me at the bar as talked to her - I'm confident, fun and I look good. Do I look 21? No. But I can still look and feel hot. |
Lol! |
Women in their 40's in this area often are skinnier and better looking than even teens. It is sad, but the truth is that many are obsessed with their weight and make sure to be skinny and yet teen girls and many women in their 20s are heavier. Weight, unfortunately, is the first perception of good or bad looks in women. I am in my mid 40s and when I pick up my DD from high school, or go to sporting events, I am among many skinny moms, and teens are either heavy or approaching heavy. So, in the shallow culture that we have, yes, skinny 40 year old is considered better looking than fat 18 year old. |
DW is beautiful, she is mid 40s.
She turns heads anytime we walk into a room. I don't care how long she takes for makeup, always wonderful. Honestly, with or without makeup, in a dress, in sweatpants, or no pants... I'd take her over and over again. She is blessed with great looks and I am blessed with a great wife, inside and out. |
Age isn't always relevant when it comes to beauty and how hot a woman is. The sexiest woman I know is 35. Way hotter than some of the twenty somethings I know. This thread is beyond stupid, was it written by a teenage boy by any chance?

I think PPs point was that you can't change your face (I mean, you can try to improve your skin, but unless you do plastic surgery, your face is yours), but you do have some control over your body. I think her point was to focus on the things you can control and that have an impact. I hate the superficial nature of this entire thread, but I do agree with her that being fit (by "fit" I mean having muscle definition in your arms, etc.) stands out because even a lot of 20-somethings (of both sexes) aren't fit. I think PP was trying to legitimately answer OP's question. As you age, you can do botox and all of the snake-oil creams or fad treatments or even roll the die and get plastic surgery, but a safer and more sure-fire way to increase your "hotness" is to get fit, to get muscle tone, to strength train. It does stand out. And I don't think a "6/7" counts as "ugly." I think PP is saying that even if you have an average face, a smokin body will stand out (for both men and women). But again, I hate the superficial nature of the this thread. As an aside, I've never been blonde, but I've always had guys hit on me. The studies I've read suggest that blondes get special treatment (i.e., people assume helplessness and go out of their way to help), not that they are necessarily seen as more objectively attractive. |
So can a man in his 30s, 40s, 50s be hot? Sure, no problem if he stays in shape but unlikely because they deteriorate rapidly if they don't take care of themselves. I am the pp in her 50s and in great shape who gets hit on all the time. Most men my age look horrible. Most have let themselves go. So it's not just women who deteriorate rapidly after 30 because you have to work on your appearance when you are no longer young. The 1% of men who haven't let themselves go are usually gay. I use to belong to a mostly gay and male gym. Those men were gorgeous in their 30s, 40s, 50s and in great shape even compared to most guys in their 20s. Supreme eye candy. I really miss that gym! |
1+. It is shocking to see high school classes out and about, e.g. on field trips or on tourist/out-of-state tours. (I stop at Union Station to get to work so see a lot of these groups.) The teens are at least 2-3 full sizes larger than I remember our classes (which were only maybe 10-15% overweight kids, and zero obese ones). And since we are on the shallow topic of appearance, my friends who have maintained the same weight look pretty darn similar now in their late 30s-early 40s as they looked in their mid twenties when I first met them. Perhaps there is more upkeep (cover grays, watch what they eat, skin care), but I think if you compared photos of now and 15 years ago (and I have pics from all eras), you would often be hard pressed to choose which was which. |
women in the 90s were way too skinny
on average teenagers today are much more healthy (read not too skinny) |
