What new forums do you want?

Well, it had to go somewhere. I answered this in another post, but I didn't want the parenting section to be too short. I thought relationships fit nicely since most of the posts have some link to parenting. Then, I didn't want to split the two relationship forums.

i might be in the minority here, but i don't like all of the specific forums. i find that i am using the site less frequently and posting less frequently. i find that i don't get enough responses to anything unless i post it in GP or off-topic. and i don't always have the time or patience to click through all of these forums and so i am just less likely too. i am sure your stats tell you different, but for this user, more forums does not equate to a better experience.

If you are interested in a range of topics, the easiest way to use the site is to use the "Recent Topics" link in the lefthand column.

I didn't read all of the suggestions, but one I've really thought would be nice to have is a "Premature Babies" section. There are a lot of different issues that comes with having a premature infant, particularly in regards to prolonged NICU stays, and it would be nice to have a separate forum devoted to that. I can state from experience that having to read through healthy baby posts is very frustrating when your child has been in the NICU 30+ days and you still aren't sure when she will get to come home.

Just as I was about to split the current forum, I had one more conversation about it with Maria. We decided that a standalone restaurant forum wouldn't be worthwhile.

I really liked the "Out & About" idea and sticking restaurants in that category.
