What new forums do you want?

We don't even have a pet and I'd think a pet forum makes more sense than splitting cooking and restaurants.

Would there be a lot left of TTC if you take out the struggling with infertility? (And I say that as someone who did struggle with infertility, and I would have liked to have a forum)

jsteele wrote:Update. I would like to keep the number of new forums to four, but I don't think I will be able. If I go to five, here is the current list I'm thinking about:

Create new TTC forum, rename current forum to Infertility
Jobs and Careers
Personal Finances
Separate Restaurants and Cooking
Homeschooling

Here is your chance to convince me to change my mind.

I would like to see Cooking combined with Entertaining (Ettiquette, party planning, menu planning, hosting, etc.)

I don't think there is enough in just recipes and cooking alone to create a lot of traffic, but if it were combined with all the entertaining questions it would be a bustling forum.

Agreed, I don't recall seeing a homeschooling question in the past year since I started viewing this forum.

It usually pops up in the private schools forum.

I think a lot of women who are TTC are too intimidated by all the talk of infertility to post anything. I know that I certainly was. And I've seen women who are struggling jump on TTC posts with negative comments about their experiences which is not really the response that someone new to TTC wants or needs to hear.

What about a popular culture forum to take all of the "OMG Taylor Swift is awesome, no she's a ho, no she's awesome!" posts out of Off-topic?

What about putting the TTC (non infertility) in with expectant mothers forum if there aren't enough TTC posts to really stand alone. (And still having a separate infertility forum). Those who are pregnant can give great advice to those trying to get pregnant and there won't be the pain for those with infertility as they have their own forum.
