Caffeine actually calms my ADHD son. He has a coffee break every day.
I had three little boys who never listened. I did my best. They were born in 1992, 1993, and 1995. They are amazing men. I am proud to be their mother.
My son is 10. We homeschool from 8:30-12. When I pulled him out of public school, he was at the beginning of third grade. He was reading at the beginning of Kindergarten level. He was diagnosed with dyslexia/ ADHD with an I.Q. of 120. I decided to not medicate him. We have taught him to manage his hyperactivity. He volunteers at a local food pantry two days each week. He is an amazing kid.
I homeschool my 10 yr old son. My teenage girls are in public school. We start our day at 8:30. I teach spelling/reading for an hour. My mom arrives at 9:30 and stays until 12:00. She teaches all other subjects. He has a 10 min. coffee break at around 10:30. Two days each week, he volunteers at a local food pantry for an hour.
We buy properties that we can rent to our kids for a lot less than they would pay somewhere else, and they live there until they are able to get their own places.
Gate City, VA in the fall. Cheyenne, OK in the spring, Charleston, SC in the winter.
For my mother-in-law, we added a wheelchair ramp to our front porch, a ramp inside the house from her room to the kitchen (there was a step down there), and a handicap-accessible shower in the bathroom. We installed a higher toilet, and added rails on the walls next to the toilet. The shower was equipped with a sprayer, and there was a hand rail on the wall next to the shower.
My husband is a Domestic Violence Officer. This is emotional abuse, and it is not okay.
Mine was 6.5 a few years ago, and I had to have a blood transfusion.
