The Rockville Community Nursery School (RCNS) offers a variety of classes for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds from 9:30am-12:30pm. We offer a developmentally appropriate program in which children are encouraged to experiment, have fun, and develop problem-solving abilities.

Although the 2s classes are full, openings are still available in the 3- and 4-year-old classrooms.

As a co-op, there is a teacher and one parent in every class each day. That is, in addition to the teacher, a parent participates for the full morning in the classroom (averaging once every 3 to 4 weeks), providing parents an excellent opportunity to be an active part of their children's preschool experience. Perhaps best of all, RCNS provides a truly family-centered environment and a strong community for kids and parents alike.

We are conveniently located off of I-270 at Exit 6, and just a few blocks from Rockville Town Center.

Please check out our website for class offerings, tuition, and additional details:

Rockville Community Nursery School (RCNS) will be hosting two Open House dates next week:

Tuesday, Feb. 9th
Wednesday, Feb. 10th

from 9:45am-11am each day.

RCNS is a cooperative preschool for kids ages 2 through 4. A variety of class options (e.g., 2-day, 3-day, 5-day) are offered. Detailed information about the school can be found at:

The Rockville Community Nursery School (RCNS) offers a variety of classes for 2-, 3- and 4-year-olds (ranging from 1 to 5 days per week), from 9:30am-12:30pm, plus an optional Lunch Bunch (from 12:30pm-2:00pm) for kids in the 3s or 4s classes.

Parents with children turning 2 by Dec. 31st, 2009, may be particularly interested in the Friday 2s class, which is a one-day class in which parents attend _with_ their child for the fall semester, allowing these younger children to become accustomed to the preschool environment at a slower pace.

Hi All,

I wanted to get the word out about openings at a fantastic cooperative preschool -- the Rockville Community Nursery School (RCNS).

My son (who turns 5 in August) has been at Franklin since he turned 3. He'll be doing his Kindergarten year at Franklin this year, then will transition to public school in the Fall of 2010.

I'd be happy to tell you more about Franklin if that would be helpful. Please feel free to e-mail me backchannel at WendyBuzy@aol.com.

Hi,

My older son (turning 5 in August) attends Franklin Montessori, and I'd be happy to tell you more about it. Please feel free to e-mail me at WendyBuzy@aol.com if you want more information. (He started when he was 3.)

However, I don't think they accept children who haven't turned 2 by September 1st (?).

My other recommendation would be the Rockville Community Nursery School (RCNS) for your son. It isn't a Montessori program, but it's wonderful. More info at:

Good luck,
Wendy
Would love to know if you received any feedback... If so, please e-mail me backchannel at WendyBuzy@aol.com
