I think she inspires love in men, especially because she is untouchable for most of them. It's a mixture of romantic love and hero-worship.

I'm confused about why Tommen committed suicide. Was it because Margery died, or because he thought Ceresi was there on trial and died, or some other reason?

Because Margery died. He knew his mom wasn't there as she sent her guy to keep him in the castle.

I also imagined it was because he realized he was never going to get out from under his mother. He knew Cersei was responsible for the explosion and, thus, the death of all of those people. Unlike his brother, he had a conscience and couldn't fathom continuing his "reign" as his mother's puppet.

I also imagined it was because he realized he was never going to get out from under his mother. He knew Cersei was responsible for the explosion and, thus, the death of all of those people. Unlike his brother, he had a conscience and couldn't fathom continuing his "reign" as his mother's puppet.

That makes sense, thanks. Even though Tommen was naïve, and loved Margery because she was pretty and (he thought) nice, I didn't see her meaning that much to him that it would push him over the edge. The theory that being a puppet to his mother drove him to it makes more sense to me.

She had herself named queen, in the confusion. Who was going to stop her? She also has a legitimate claim, through birth (not mentioned in the show).

No, not really. I got the impression he thought she was beautiful and admired her, but not really that he was seriously in love with her, no.

I think he loves her, but Tyrion is always practical and knows it will never happen. More than anything I think you are correct that he admires her.

I know this is petty, but I expected Lyanna Stark to be gorgeous. Both Robert and Rhaegar wanted here and started a war about it. She was pretty average and plain looking. Why couldn't they have got a hotter actress?
