| Friend of ours went. Very little turn out. They mentioned combining years to make teams. Low intensity. Exactly what you would expect from a new club entering the travel world here. Doubt they will have any full teams to enter. |

| doesn't aspire require they field a team at every age group? |
I’m guessing they didn’t say which years they’d combine and which years they’re planning for full teams? |
I think this is true for GA but not Aspire |
Don’t think they can tell you anything because they have no idea how many kids they’ll have at the different age levels. They’ll sell you that your kid will “play up” and guest play which just means they don’t have enough to field a teamm |
| They have 5 age groups of mixed genders all trying out at the same time on one field. They can't be expecting many players if that's what they're doing. At the GFR U12 tryouts tonight there were probably enough players for 4 teams and when we were leaving there were tons of girls showing up for the U14 tryouts, 6 or 7 were Loudoun (east, I assume) players. |
| so looks like all the gfr coaches who left for loudoun east are now with riverbend? i guess this is how they slide into ncsl under the loudoun east banner? |
\\ they only have one team in ncsl which is apparently a former girls rec team. where do you see a coach slate? |
| So does Loudoun East even exist next year? |
https://rb-fc.sprocketsports.com/club/coachingstaff i am guessing this is for next year because alex is still a gfr coach and i think jake is too |
| Wonder where they are getting the money to pay the coaches? |

Folks, Riverbend FC is a for-profit soccer enterprise. RFBC Holdings, LLC, formed on 8/15/25 using the same principal address that is listed on rb-fc.com (9893 Georgetown Pike #520).
Loudoun Soccer has a financial interest and is heavy involved, hence the NVA "partnership" and other operational/technical collaboration (There are LS/NVA employee names all over the RBFC website and press releases, just not on the staff page). You will likely see other "partnerships" with established non-profit clubs in order to access public/county field space to which they otherwise could not. They reference a "RBFC Foundation" and a Make A Wish partnership, but an LLC is an LLC. And it's mission and values are to generate maximum profit, not develop your kid. |
Revolution and St James also for profit, it’s not a new model. There are also plenty of clubs (Loudoun included) who claim to be non profit but only care about money. |
For the most part, the RBFC coaches have experience with younger age groups and lower level leagues. They do not have experience with older age groups at higher levels. So RBFC may be perfectly fine for younger kids who just want to have fun but may not serve well kids who want strong development from the youngest ages. If you want a stronger focus on development, look at McLean or GFR or even Loudoun. |
