Guy wants exclusivity before first date

Been chatting with a guy from a dating app. I’ve enjoyed the convo and we have a date planned. Today he says he prefers to date one person at a time, and would I be willing to date him exclusively? Is this a red flag? I don’t even know the guy

Huge, waving red flag, assuming he's asking if you're willing to agree to be exclusive NOW. I mean, you can tell him that you are looking for an exclusive relationship, if that's true, but you aren't willing to make that commitment before you've even met someone.
