| I recently starting gaining weight--perhaps my metabolism is slowing down. I am 35 and all of a sudden I noticed I have been gaining weight. I work out three-five days a week and eat pretty healthy. I am now five pounds overweight. Any advice on how I can lose it in a week. Any meal plans? I don't feel good about myself now. |
| Why a week? Could you, maybe, but it will be mostly water. Just cut down on your portion size and amount you are eating it will come off in probably 2-4 weeks easy. |
| Stop eating carbs, you might lose that much water weight. |
5lbs into actual "overweight" territory, or 5 lbs over your ideal, previous weight? Hard to advise without stats. FWIW I can fluctuate 5lbs in a day and it's water. |
| I’m starting a 1000/calorie a day diet this week. But only because I’ve only lost 5lbs in about 2 weeks. |
| Juicing and Intermittent Fasting for a week, increase exercise |
| Laxatives |
| Wait for your period to be over. |
| Skip one meal a day. Drink seltzer water to feel full. |
| You won’t lose 5lbs in a week and keep it off. 5lbs in a month is reasonable. |
That’s so unsustainable. You won’t have the energy to complete your day and your body won’t be getting what it needs to function. I’ve done overly restrictive diets before and even though they “worked” short term, it always came back to haunt me. |
| Seriously. Can we just go ahead and rename this forum to the disordered eating board? |

OP here. I am five pounds over my previous weight.
I need to lose it fast. I weighed myself and I am 113.8 today--which includes more water weight. Going to IF and eat from 12-8pm. No sweets, carbs, and sugars. |
How tall are you? Why the necessity to lose 5 lbs in one week? Some event? |
| I am 5'2''. My hips have gotten bigger and I cannot fit into my clothes. I can't afford to buy new clothing. |
