Wonder how many of these signatures are teachers... |
They'd still be teaching from the classroom. Last year we were told that virtual instruction does not mean teaching from home. |
I doubt there will be many who sign it. All the teachers I know prefer to teach in person. |
Same, and we are both teachers. |
They don’t really have another choice. |
It’s also better from a funding perspective. Don’t forget about the Sept 30 count. If they were to start virtual, a significant enough number of people would leave FCPS. If they wait until after 9/30 to change things up, FCPS doesn’t lose funds. |
There is no conspiracy. They have to open by law. They want to open. Teachers want to open. If they close, it'll be a school, not district-based, decision. And then they'll open back up when things calm at that school. There is no secret plan to go virtual for the school year again. I know there are some probably harboring this fantasy, though... And you have no idea how school is going to go in a masked, highly-vaccinated area. You're using anecdotes to make a prediction. |
definitely this dude
ollow the science and close the schools! Teachers, parents, and students opposed to Fairfax school reopening should join the Educators Rank and File Safety Committee: https://www.wsws.org/en/special/pages/educators-rank-and-file-committee.html#join |
That website screams batsh!t insane. |
| THe lady begging for virtual K for her five year old...wow, she has no clue. No clue. |
Well, he’s in Michigan, so…no. FCPS ES Teacher |
Nothing says irrelevant quite like a website like that. |
Yeah, blame the teachers. That’s a new one. You’re an asshole. |
Exactly how is that following the science? You know the science also said? That our children learned way less because of distance learning and our poor populations were left even more behind. |
