Agree. I think FCPS is going full bore with [b]opening five days in person[/b] so that if/when the shit hits the fan and students and staff get sick in large numbers, they will have much less resistance when they send everyone virtual. No one will be able to say, "They didn't even try!" or claim there weren't many cases in their elementary schools when 20% of the class is out due to symptoms or exposure. I also suspect FCPS knows there's a reasonably large contingent of parents who will pull their kids if cases start showing up in schools. It's much better for this to happen after school starts because it's a lot easier from a staffing perspective to lose students after the first month than it is to gain students. [/quote]
