Hoax: Hate crime attackers: "This is MAGA country."

This is so wrong on so many levels but I am glad the law enforcement is on it. If it indeed turns out that he orchestrated the attack for personal gain, he should be fined heavily to deter others who might be tempted to plan fake hate crimes.

A psychological evaluation must also be in order.

He will receive jail time so as to deter future hate hoaxers.

Curious to see what the management of Empire will say now that he has been arrested. They have been standing by him throughout.... will that change?

How can we reach people like him who do not feel like they're being heard and show love, compassion, and support?

These are the thoughts I'll be ruminating on instead of the callousness I am reading here from some of you.

You sound as deranged as Smollett......I’d ruminate on that if I were you.

Why aren't the two ding dongs charged with conspiracy? b/c they gave up info on Smollett?

Conspiracy to what?
As I see it, they didn't do anything wrong, legally. They didn't file a false police report.

A Class-4 felony conviction will yield some prison time, but he also has to worry about the fake letter he sent with the powdery substance, which is another federal crime.

A friend sent me this, which he picked up on some Internet blog: “A well conducted police state pardons a few prisoners now and then; this persuades the populace that the rest are guilty. Similarly, a well conducted SJW state like the one in which we live should convict a hate-hoaxer now and then if it wishes to maintain the illusion that the vast majority of hate crimes are not hoaxes.”

Had the camera not been facing away and had this staged attack gone viral, he would have blood on his hands with the likely resultant rioting.

Will be interesting to hear his manager’s story, since he allegedly heard the attackers on the cell phone.

If the Chicago detectives get ahold of his unredacted cell phone records, all bets are off.

ABC destroyed its credibility with that nauseating interview.

In its pathological desire to embrace yet another hate-crime narrative, the legacy media ignored all the obvious red flags: Two random Trump supporters wearing MAGA hats somehow recognizing a character on a TV show that apparently zero Trump supporters have even heard of, in a 90% Democrat city, wandering around outside at 2 AM during the subzero Polar Vortex.

Even if Tom Wolfe were still alive, he could not have made this stuff up! He would probably categorize this hate hoax as “Fake Noose.”

Thank you.

I'm like a PP who checks out this damn story every 12 minutes.

I read SOMEWHERE that Empire was slowly writing him out of the show. Of course, I have no idea where I read it. But NOW I'm reading that they're standing by him. Can you film in prison?

That's one way of viewing a disturbed individual who not only orchestrated and paid for a sickening pretend hate crime involving a noose and bleach but was able to participate in an interview afterwards with a well-known, highly regarded African American broadcaster and feign tears and fear.

PP here. I just watched the interview with Robin Roberts again and don't see how anyone could listen to him tearfully and dramatically sharing "his story" without thinking he has serious mental health issues.

Just saw this.......

Fox is considering removing Jussie Smollett from production on “Empire.” Sources close to the production told Variety that producers are weighing whether to suspend the actor after he was charged Wednesday in Chicago with filing a false police report.

A spokesperson for 20th Century Fox Television, which produces the series, declined to comment. Smollett’s status on the show may change amid a fluid legal situation.

So, they are "considering" removing him............
I remember not too long ago that an actor who supported Trump was removed because of a tweet.

It's amazing that anyone believed him in this interview, he is so obviously acting! Dramatic pauses, perfectly placed crying, fake sob story about what his friend told him - it's so 'soap-opera-y' it made me cringe.

Lol....fear mongrels. The guy is an utter imbecile and Roberts should be ashamed to call herself a journalist.

The man is shamefully embarrassing.
Liberal media should stop promoting him.

Jail time is unlikely and would be miscarriage of justice to treat it any differently than any other false police report.
