Teachers possibly would have a school sticker but not a PTA one. Probably just another DC government mom headed home to Largo.

What do you think the T in PTA stands for?

Hey Dick Tracey, EoTP there ain't no nannies. Just Mom from Maryland looking for free food from a Title 1 school and free daycare (especially when the school day goes until 5). Stop being ignorant.

Okay everybody. We know that this poster is a troll and is posting from outside the DC area, and doesn't know DC proper. Good grief, there are lots and lots of nannies EOTP.

And there are lots of residency cheaters from Ward 9, EOTP and even WOTP.

NP here. Is it easy to falsify residency documents? Pretty sure a kid in my child's class lives in MD but school says 100% of docs are complian after an OSSE audit.
Anonymous
Np--did you not produce documents when you registered? No, it is not easy. You'd need a paystub, driver's license, and / or (in case of drivers license) lease, deed, and two utility bills.

I assume most MD plated people share custody or cars and I don't give a shit. This apparently males me a pg resident, which would be news to my husband and child... But--whatever.

However, seeing the Sela Maryland car made me go lol, thinking of the obsessives here.

Since this thread started, there're substantially less Md. and Va. cars outside of Amidon-Bowen. And yes, it's one of the lowest performing Title 1 schools in DC with free food and extra day daycare; this isn't about quality academics. The naysayers on this thread are probably do-nothing principals, Md. residents, and simply ignorant trolls.

If the draw is the free food and daycare, my guess is that the OOB families are pretty desperate for these services since the school has such poor academics. They are probably barely surviving and residency cheating makes it possible for Mom to see that Larla has what she needs without social services.

I don't think that's the profile of a residency cheater. I think they are lower middle class people who grew up in DC but moved out of the area to find more affordable housing. They work in DC or they live close enough that it's convenient free child care. In every real life situation I've known, the grandparents still live in DC and that address is used.

Title 1 schools like Amidon-Bowen are going to have a disproportionate number of children who are homeless and living doubled up with family in MD, or in shelters in MD, or who are placed in foster homes in MD. Kids in each of those circumstances are entitled to stay in their original school.

And there's at least one mean spirited asshole who wants to make the lives of those foster kids, and their caregivers, more difficult.

Sela Maryland plates though?/I guess that's fine.

Seems odd that lower middle class people would be willing to send their kids to the lowest performing school just to access free food and childcare. The early years are so key to later academic success.

She was wearing nursing scrubs and going to Starbucks at 10:15 on a Tuesday, so I don't think she was a teacher.

She had a bunch of car seats in her car, which made me think she was custodial.

Nah she was a fraud, and a shameless one too.

Please feel free to leave this cesspool if you don't like it. We want people like you out anyway.

So teaching foster kids to break the law is okay? Or if they aren't breaking the law, it's something cleared up in less time than your weird rants. I had to resubmit paperwork twice because I was flagged. It took maybe 5 minutes. Calm down.
