Now Vought is saying RIFs will happen in the next day or two. Well they do like holidays and tomorrow is Yom Kippur—so I guess we’ll get the atonement RIFs?

That’s not the gotcha you think it is, the ballroom is privately funded.

Democrats need to end this.
Don’t treat us like political footballs because they can’t win elections.

I'm sure he will sell tickets at a premium once it's done and make more money than he and his "donors" spent. Play to play is Trump's motto.

Also, how is that even legal???? Honest question.

TBH, the federal government needs to lay off at least 50% of employees. There’s too much dead weight at many federal agencies.

Maybe 30 percent, they should offer VERA! Too many GS 13, 14 and 15 at step 10.

This is my first rodeo with a shutdown. We have some cushion financially, but not a lot. Is there anywhere for centralized information on things like filing for unemployment (can we?), banks that might give no interest loans, etc?

Thanks.

You can file for unemployment but you’ll have to pay it back. Some credit unions offer no interest loans to furloughed federal employees.
