That team is something else. Actually been runner up in Super Y, gone far in futsal tourneys and even plays up 2011 in national USYS (If any wonder what it takes to have a top team -- this says a lot, IMO).

Some call Midwest a feeder for Hawks. Yes, some of there players over the years have gone there, but that's based on Hawks reputation and was before Midwest really started gaining steam. Also, it's 2-3 hour drive between the 2 (Grand Rapids-Detroit), so quite a sacrifice to play for the Hawks. I'm sure most parents would rather see Midwest just become the big dog and the GR area is fast becoming a soccer mecca in MI with new infrastructure on the way (https://www.grandaction.org/current-projects/grand-rapids-soccer-stadium) and Midwest is part of the USL, btw. In the end, I bet Midwest would be happy to let Nationals and Hawks/Wolves battle for youth soccer in SE Michigan (although the Jags in GA also are big and there are several strong clubs in USYS) if it can be THE club for that side of the state.

Anyone else around the country also switching from ECNL to GA. Any of the MLSN/ECNLG clubs?

If all of this is happening in just the DMV….Cant imagine what happens in the rest of the country.

Other parts of the country aren't as involved as DCUM people. But discussions are happening across the country and as more announcements occur FOMO kicks in and even more clubs start talking to GA.

Exactly…because the reality is, there really is no downside to joining MLSN/GA.

Is there a difference in the amount of scouts that go to ECNL vs GA events? Sure. But the same D1 colleges will go to both events. It’s just right now, majority of the better players and clubs are in ECNL.

Colleges are keeping track of this as well.
They will go where the wind goes.

lol better than ECNL promoting a bunch of ECRL clubs in the “far west” conference lol.

In fact people are pissed off in the comments about that.

Oh, other parts of the country are as involved and full of gossip, too. They just don't have the super active forum you guys have here, so the discussion is walled off in private facebook groups and the like.
