They need to be immediately escorted to waiting buses and sent back to their countries. Period. It is utter madness that they’re here in the first place.

China refuses to take back their citizens. What happens when a country refuses to take back their citizen s who are being deported? Is the USA forced to keep them?

We will need to provide wraparound services.

The citizens of countries who refuse to take them back remain in custody. No exceptions.
A strong president would have a little chat with Xi and make him an offer he couldn't refuse to take HIS citizens back. But, we don't currently have a strong president.

It makes sense that newcomers head to communities where they have friends or family. It makes sense they head to communities where others speak their language.

The government has been doing this forever. It wasn’t too long ago the media covered those flights. Rs are now doing it as a political stunt to make a point. Shrug. Same difference.

You can see how many people enter the US every week/month. The government posts that info (including demographics). The numbers are crazy high.

The DC mayor begged for help before the NY mayor. They realize they can’t shoulder the burden of a constant influx of people. Nobody can. 5,500 migrant students have been enrolled in nyc schools in recent months. Think about that impact alone (ignore the obvious housing crisis).

I’m a bleeding heart liberal, but even I can see we have a problem. The numbers are too high. This is largely economic migration. And the end result is some Ds will reach their tipping point with this issue and vote R because of that. I don’t want another R in the White House. I certainly don’t want Trump againI think the Ds need to adjust their immigration plan if they want to win. Even Latinos who are here are annoyed (per recent polls), and the Ds seem ignorant to that data.

This.

And this is the fatal flaw in the way “D’s” think. It’s more about saving face and winning than it is about why these people are coming, slipping in undetected, costing us billions and threatening our safety and national security. But, sure, let’s hyper focus on winning and being Anti-Trump at all cost to our nation. However, I will give the PP credit for finally seeing we have a problem.

This goes on for decades and decades. Legal immigration has been a mess. No party and no president has done anything about it. And no Universal ID.
Now that migrants have cell phones and are much better informed they have taken to exploiting this failing system. No matter the president.
Republicans are just posturing. They won’t fix anything either. They have business interests that profit from illegal immigration.

The fact that you cannot admit that it is incredibly worse under Biden because of his campaign rhetoric and his policies speaks volumes.
Republicans predicted this would happen when Biden was campaigning, given his rhetoric.
Just to emphasize: Biden has broken EVERY IMMIGRATION RECORD we have - in a bad way.

Can we get these new citizens the right to vote as soon as possible, so we can get their input about the services that affect them.

The criminals that asylum seekers and other immigrants are fleeing are allowed to come in and stay. Unfettered entry is a huge issue. We aren’t helping anyone if we allow the Fox into the hen house.

China takes them or we give Taiwan nukes.
cares
Not a responsible and logical response. Maybe we can just build holding camps in Montana or Wyoming and hold them there indefinitely. Yes, I know that the former SCOTUS said you could hold deportation designees indefinite if their country-of-origin refuse their returns, but we know this new SCOTUS cares naught for stare decisis.

Do you think Xi is afraid of any POTUS. He is not. He wasn't afraid of Trump and he is not afraid of Biden. What offer do you think can be proposed that Xi would refuse. And let's be real, Xi has probably sent half of those military aged men here. He wants them here.

Excuses excuses.

China won't take them? That's a laugh. Return them and dump them in the Chinese airports. What's so hard about that?

Nonsense. Strong offer he couldn’t resist would be something illegal or dangerous to the National Security. How “strong” is that? Otherwise other countries leaders have zero interests in taking their citizens back. As demonstrated the world over. This is not a new issue. And Europe is dealing with it, too.

Cannot admit? Lol, no. That it is worse (highest numbers) is true, and a product of our times, the times we live in, not Biden specifically. . He did end the pandemic era quick turnaround law, that helped stem the flow, yes. But the pandemic is over, is it?
The numbers would have soared during the current years. Only fundamental changes to US laws would change anything. Neither party has been willing to go there in the past. The numbers are soaring for migration around the world, Europe is seeing the same phenomenon. Why? Migrants are more connected than ever. So are their smugglers. 50 years ago this was all much more difficult. That’s one reason. There are many more. Should the US do something about this? Absolutely, they must.

That’s incredibly disrespectful to give illegal lawbreakers the right to vote. Do felons get the right to vote?. How about we all forgo paying taxes for a year? Can we become lawbreakers too and get a slap on the wrist and financial compensation for it?

There’s a legal process to migration that responsible citizens of the world follow. They do not hop over borders and expect their new country to take care of them

That is total BS.
His rhetoric on the campaign trail.... saying he hoped migrants surged the border.... promising ZERO deportations during his first 100 days.... then signing 94 EOs - most undoing anything that was working...... ALL result in the record encounters we see today.
This is the BIDEN border crisis. He caused it. He invited it. And, he owns it.
