Answer the question: Are you equally as outraged about the mayor of El Paso (D) busing migrants to NYC? |
| At first I didn't support this idea of providing free buses for people to use to move to other areas. Now I admit I was wrong. This is fantastic and should be expanded. |
I do not care. It’s all a stupid political stunts. This is just a made up issue by the right wing media because they do not want to talk about Trump. Answer my question will you migrate to Texas when Texas leave the US? |
It's not a stunt for El Paso. This is a city of 680,000 that is receiving 2000 migrants a day, nearly 15,000 a week. NYC is more than ten times bigger and says it can't handle less than 15,000 migrants over several months. How could El Paso possibly deal with that kind of migrant volume? |
+1 Truth is these other posters don't care until it affects them. It's not fair to expect cities to absorb all these immigrants. |
People like you don't want to talk about the impact of all these people entering our country. It's a huge problem. |
Some people can consider more than one thing at a time. Trump is just one man. If you don't care about the border fine. |
| Why are the libs still talking about Trump? He’s not even in office anymore. The Dems just want to deflect from the problems they caused. You don’t hear conservatives going on and on about Obama. Who the f cares about anyone who’s no longer in office? |
|
I must say that the counter arguments of people against bussing don’t sound convincing at all.
And no I am not a trumper. |
| Also, I loved Eric Adams’ Freudian slip: although we have limited, err, limitless compassion… yeah the heck you do. |
|
And one more thing. It is highly unfortunate that only scandalous measures like bussing migrants can get the attention of those who insist on outdated, harmful policies.
Another example was a school district that stuck to mandatory masking much longer than those around it and reversed the policy only after a 4 yo was barred from getting evaluated due to not wearing a mask (which he refused to wear due to special needs), the parent made a stink, threatened a lawsuit, filmed the principal calling the police to remove the child from school premises and put the video on Twitter. It was a super harsh move but no other measures helped though numerous parents petitioned making masks optional. It was very sad to watch because I don’t support outrageous measures like this but what to do if they are the only way to be heard?! |
What Desantis did was not legal, which is why they are looking to sue him. But sure, illegal immigrants breaking the law is bad, but Desantis breaking the law is ok because those people are just illegal anyways. And no, states can't just do what they feel like. They are still part of the US and have to follow federal laws. I'm happy to have FL and TX secede though. They'll have to raise taxes to build a border wall. Oh wait FL doesn't even have a border with MX. So, not sure what Desantis was doing in TX. |
| I know its all a political stunt but it really is pretty entertaining how these pro sanctuary city democrats talk out of both sides of their mouth |
| At least it helps with the population loss that NY and NYC has been experiencing. All the people with productive skills and high income flee the tax hell that is NY/NYC and go to TX and they send some people back. Knowing NY, they will be probably voting in elections very soon. |
