If someone was in your house and you opened the door, would you walk outside towards them, or back inside towards the person?
I’d say outside, unless you knew the person.

You’re saying Pelosi knew this guy? Are you also denying that he was assaulted?

Your article sure looks like more click bait because it claims the body cam shows something, but we don’t see the body cam.

Not that PP but this article states what the suspended reporter stated as well (NBC I believe?). Why suspend a reporter instead of just amending the article? If Pelosi did, in fact, open the door, he should have been able to continue straight through and on out.

The tv “reporter” repeated an unsourced story something that was completely contradicted by the charging documents and he didn’t mention or follow up on the discrepancy. No doubt his unnamed source was a cop buddy trying to cover for the cops’ slow reaction that enabled the assault.

That reporter has been with NBC news for well over a decade and has won and Emmy and a Murrow so you can omit your idiotic quotation marks. And the intelligent assumption would be that a reporter with that experience and track record would have acted appropriately. The only opaque cloud hangs over the network and the DOJ.

What is the reporter’s name?

He probably didn't feel threatened by the guy because he had calmed him down a little.

It matters what he did because the DOJ's statement in their indictment is at odds with what has been reported to be in the bodycam videos. IF the reports are true, then the DOJ lied to the court.

Lied or didn’t have the right information!

It’s much more likely that Almaguer’s source was questionable and lied to him, which is why he was suspended.

You sound more confused than an 80 something year old just awoken from sleep who needs to make a split-second decision. If someone is IN your house, how can you walk OUTSIDE toward them? Are we talking about Schroedinger's cat here?

Also, you must be a machine if you are adamant you know what you would do when facing danger, that you always make the right decision in whatever unexpected situation you find yourself in. Most human beings, especially the elderly, take a while to process what is going on when facing a moment of danger.

Why would the police not disarm the man immediately? Why would they just talk to him with a hammer in his hand?

What are you suggesting happened? Are you denying a crazed intruder attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer? The hospital stay was a hoax?

Seriously? If you read the charging docs, you wouldn’t be pulling a Tucker Carlson on the rest of us. Read the docs and try to noodle through it.

The pp clearly meant the officers - walk outside towards the officers.

Obviously this was a violent confusing situation. Will someone who is insisting there is some sort of conspiracy please tell me what you think happened? What the actual conspiracy is? Was Paul’s hospital visit a hoax?

No, calm down. I am neither a conspiracy theorist nor a republican. I am just honestly trying to understand what happened (i.e. where the police at fault for not disarming him), if it is correct that they all spoke for some time before the physical attack.
